That's how he has been for a couple of years now, it's not the triangle. I wonder if he will have to become a backup by next season and end up taking 12 per at best. Or maybe there's still an idiot GM who will still pay him. But who? BKN has a smart GM right now. Perhaps Indiana? ...From an MVP to a backup while still in his "prime"...What a fall that would be.
Knicks seem like the team when they get it figured out will be nasty. The issue is by that time both Rose and Noah could be injured.
It really seems like the moment a player gets more shine, that includes winning, Carmelo freezes them out. Look and Lin and now Porzingis.
I thought this will be the team to be really good if healthy. But they suck. I still think they will turn it around, and make the 8th, or 7th seed, but who knows. I'm not a fan of their coach.
Defense is awful and they need better shooters. Rose is actually a question mark. Some days he looks like the mvp of old. The offense is a bit predictable, with the Melo triple threat (which is still very effective) as the bread and butter and the Rose/ Jennings drive and dish. It's not a sophisticated offense like so many NBA teams have now. Watching them I feel like something is missing.
It's not a great roster but it's not bad either, they should be doing better especially in the East. The coaching is terrible and it would have been terrible with Rambis as head coach too, so that's on Phil. Re-signing Melo with a no trade clause was an idiotic move. It seems Phil is better at managing people than he is at managing a whole organization.
