I live in San Francisco where the smells you usually notice are a mix of weed smoke and urine, it can't be worse than that! (The urine smell more than the weed smell) The Texans disappoint me and I'm convinced Rick Smith has incriminating information on McNair. There's no reasonable explanation for him still being around.
Welcome back, Band Geek Mobster! Always good to see a familiar face ... 'er, moniker. You left when Morey became GM. He needs you back! Now we go all the way.
I've had to endure the Pats, Red Sox, Bruins, and SF Giants championships as well...the whole time supporting my loser teams from Houston.
By the way, the D&D Forum is a scary place...I can't tell who is trolling and who is serious over there...
There are actually people downtown after 5 on weekdays. Oh, and literally every street downtown has lanes blocked for construction. Every single street. No hyperbole. Allen Parkway is unrecognizable from just a year ago. It doesn't get cold here until January and even then it's hit or miss. But you already knew that. There's a new HEB in Kingwood that is bigger than an airport. Texans games are still mind-numbingly boring. Dwight Howard is gone, so the Rockets are actually likable again. Astros squeaked into the playoffs last year, but then thought everyone would just lay down for them this year and ended up not making it. Oh, and this is a big one.......Charlie Pallilo isn't on the radio anymore.
Oh wow. I remember you from when I was still sort of young. Welcome back. People still get their hopes up around there that a Houston team will win something other than a division. Inevitably they're pretty much disappointed.
I remember listening to Charlie and Rich Lord. It blows my mind that Rich Lord is still employed while CP isn't.
Yeah, when you realize that these teams are destined to fail, it makes the viewing experience much easier. I mean, I checked out of the Texans/Vikings game after the 2nd Vikings TD and had the rest of my Sunday to enjoy!
