This is unexceptable! We didn't bring MDA to be 3rd on offense! After 4 games we should be 1st on offense and Dead Last on defense!
this is what Les wanted all along and all the people that wanted MDA should have expected. if you're still actually surprised like this would be any different you were delirious. There's no such thing as being so great offensively you can just neglect the defensive side of the ball, it won't get you far in the end. If you can't rely on your defense to get stops at the end of games you won't be getting closing out very many games with a win and will continuously just be playing from behind. Championship teams have the ability to get stops when they need to close it out. That's never going to change. People can blame this player and that for being poor defensively but the reality is is that there isn't much of a team defensive concept currently on this team. You could probably field multiple guys who are known to be solid defensively at the same time under a MDA team and they would still look bad as a unit
Yet another reason why Brewer should not be receiving minutes when we have better options in McDaniels and Dekker on the team. Not drastically better options, but certainly improvements nonetheless.
Awesome! At least we are 1st on offense and dead last on defense which means we are great at something and piss poor at the other. I'd take this over being 15th-16th at both just like being a 0.500 team
What have you seen during the first four games that gives you any optimism that this is not the norm. We haven't played any offensive juggernauts. We played 3 bottom feeders and the defending champs who leans more defensive. Lebron is also coasting at the moment.
I understand that smart ass, I am just curious how those teams did in general. I'm not worried about how we are doing 4 games into the season, I don't lose my **** like most of these posters do on a nightly basis, but just wondering if those teams were that bad defensively.
If you don't see the difference in these first 4 compared to the first 30-40 of last season, your are blind!
This is exactly what they signed up for. Yes, it's only 4 games into the season. But consider what EVERYONE said when MDA was hired. Oh, great offense, horrible defense. What do we have? Great offense, horrible defense. Both categories should go in the opposite direction a bit. Offense won't stay #1. Defense won't stay last. But at the end of the day, absent personnel changes, they will end up around .500 ball because of great offense and horrible defense. The sad part is we probably have to watch this for the next 3 years...
edit: misread your post...thought you were talking about our opponents. Suns were in the #10-15 range in DRtg
don't think that's a legit excuse for something that has been clearly proven throughout any MDA coached team
