Uhmm I was just implying that the Cowboys will run all over the Browns next week and it will be an easy win. I wasn't saying at all that I think Romo should start again. I didn't even bring him up.
Stupid play calling down the stretch and Carr flopping doomed the eagles. Who calls a screen with your team in FG position?
The need to try to force it to Dez almost doomed Dallas. Dak finally realized in OT that if teams are blitzing everyone at you, Cole Beasley is the guy that is open. With that being said, that catch by Dez in the end zone was crazy.
BB is so ruthless. He is like one of their best defensive players. Wonder what collins did do to piss him off.
The Patriots have always let defensive players walk rather than pay them top dollar. It keeps them in position to draft replacements or have the cap space to lure in FAs.
Not worth it as a rental, the Texans aren't going anywhere this season, they might as well keep the pick.
I disagree. We almost have a SB defense but it has holes and don't forget Denver just won a SB with a really bad Peyton Manning.
More likely he wants to play former Houston Cougar Elandon Roberts more and figured he was expendable.
More importantly, what in the hell are the Browns going to do with Jamie Collins?? Are they seriously thinking they are going to sign him this off-season? Don't they have other things they need to be spending draft picks and money on??
They're trying to build a defense and it seems like Collins will re-sign with them. Ogbah in the draft last year, Collins now, and maybe Garrett in the draft next year is a pretty good defensive core. The emergence of Crowell and Pryor (plus you have Coleman ready to come back and maybe Gordon) with Hue Jackson's offensive prowess places less of a need for them to draft for offense. They still need a QB of course but I'd argue that defense is more of an achilles for them this season when you take into account how many QBs they've had to use this year yet are still somewhat competitive in their games (but eventually lose because their defense sucks). As bad as the Browns are, I think they might be actually trending in the positive direction with new management. Pats didn't want to pay Collins so better for them to get that pick to use this year instead of waiting to get it next year. Seems like the Patriots have had a stud linebacker corps for the past decade so Belichick knows what he's doing. I think Roberts has been solid for them and they also traded for Van Noy recently.
Vikings o-line really is their downfall so far. But have to give credit to Vic Fangio. Bears defense is pretty solid when you account for the injuries they've had this season. Could be a head coach candidate next year if he wants it.
Their o-line and Sleeves aren't going to hold up at this point without a trade (already 2 starters out for the year). Key difference between Sleeves and Teddy was that Teddy can operate under pressure. Sleeves can't and this o-line and playcalling with the predictable run on 1st and 2nd down will do them no favors. Not sure what happened to the Vikings after the bye, but Norv Turner reverted back to his potato playcalling. Still running the ball down 17 in the 3rd quarter
When the Vikings o-line plays this bad and looks to be getting worse, I think this is where the Vikings start to miss Teddy. He can scramble and extend plays to mitigate deficiencies whereas Bradford just folds and turns into a statue. I'm not saying that Teddy would have had a good game today, but with a beat up o-line he would definitely do better than Bradford in the same situation. It's just moreso that Bradford is bottom tier when pressure is in his face. Not mobile enough to avoid sacks and his injury history is already a cause of concern. I mentioned early on in the season that the Vikings' o-line would be the main thing holding them back and it looks that way unless they use the play calling to help out (quick passes would be a start). It seems like every "contender" this year has a major flaw except the Patriots.
The guy can't even drop back to pass without having his knee blow up, I'm not sure he's the guy you really want running for his life with a bad O line.
Bradford's injury history is way worse than Teddy's, especially if you take out his one fluke and unfortunate injury. And pre-injury Teddy is still better than Bradford under pressure. Bradford is probably a better fit for the Vikings with a healthy team though.
