    "Still a rookie."

Ha, and everyone is so confident they'd move on if he stinks. "Just a 2 year deal! Just move on! Just move on!" You think Bob is ready to hop on the QB carousel again?

He was solid if unspectacular today.

I bet you if he stumbled into a Dak/Romo situation, he'll hip to the hop on that carousel without thinking about it.

The team scored 20 points against a bottom ranked defense at home. Not good enough.

My guess, if he doesn't improve significantly between now and the end of the season and continues to struggle next season - BOB will be fired and the new coach will be in the same situation Kubiak was in in '06: can you fix our broken QB? That would buy him one more year.

Texans owner on Brock Osweiler: 'He's still basically a rookie'

The body of Texans quarterback Brock Osweiler's NFL career still closely resembles that of a passer approaching the end of a rookie season as a starter.

Osweiler has now started 15 career games and has a record 10-5. Overall, he's completed 60.3 percent of his throws for 20 touchdowns and 15 interceptions for a 79.6 passer rating.

Texans owner Bob McNair, who signed off on a four-year contract, weighed in on Osweiler.

"He's still basically a rookie," McNair said. "He's going to make some mistakes, but he shows that he has the talent, he has the ability and has the leadership that the team has confidence in him."

Osweiler completed 20 of 29 passes for 186 yards Sunday and had a 83.4 passer rating. His 69.0 completion percentage represented a season-high.

"I thought Brock had a much improved game," McNair said. "I think there was a little miscommunication on that one interception. I don't put that all on him. That was both of them. He made a lot of good throws I think he's going to continue to get better."

I've reserved any judgement on Brock because I think he's deserved time.

While it's not panic time, I'm not happy at all with what I see. BO is obviously struggling with accuracy and his going through his progressions. If he does not improve these two things he will never be successful. This is obviously nothing new, but just my thoughts.

I'm wondering what the organization is really thinking at this point? Hopefully the blinders are off.

If Brock doesn't improve and continues to struggle next season, I can't imagine them continuing with his contract. Carr was still on his rookie deal. Brock would be owed $18 million in 2018 (you'd save $12 million by cutting him). No reason to pay a QB that much if you have to bring in another coach to "fix" him.
