If Dmo is not pressing to play/sign it says a lot about possible back/health is a lingering issue. If back/health wasn't issue i'd think he'd of signed by now!
So true . For every good game Dekker or KJ or Ryan or Clint or nene has .. We need less at the given moment . The only thing that will shift how much we need him is injury . Frankly , waiting for a teammate to get hurt is a pretty crappy strategy . There are only a few other teams that can even offer him more than the qualifying offer at this point. So for him to really make bank he's gonna have to hope that a specific position on a specific team gets hurt or plays under expectations . This holdout is costing him money and goodwill . It is costing him playing time . It will soon cost him actual game checks of it lasts that long . I can really think of only a few situations in which holding out until now is a rational / good idea . Given that we haven't heard much on the matter , I doubt any false promises were made . I can say I don't have much clue as to what either side wants right now and I doubt anyone not directly involved really knows much either . I am one of dmo's biggest proponents ; but the questions about his health and the nature of these contract negotiations are definitely making him more of an afterthought
I probably would too . Who wouldn't want bev over Ennis/ brown and Dmo is also better than those two and harrel and wiltjer.
Wish he would just sign...I think he would fit well with this team and we could use another skilled big man. He has clearly overplayed his hand and needs to just bet on himself on a one year deal.
You put he and Nene on the court and you have two of the best passing bigs in the league and can get a ton of easy backdoor layups for the guards. I can only imagine how good he and Nene would look together. Capella is actually trying to become a better passer, but he dose not come close to having Dmo's offensive awarness
Well this is a Dmo thread. People who may want to have updates on the guy or news concerning him. Its not Rocket science breh.
I don't think he's signed because he knows he will fail a physical. He's gonna wait until he's healthy for sure.
No reason not to believe it. Both of those guys are proven. Would be nice to see our full team out there.
Actually I haven't seen the questions until now. I don't keep up with the back and forth between you and Bobby. I only skim read most of the stuff in this thread since 90% of it is garbage about how dumb DMo and BJ are. 1. He doesn't want a multi-year deal at a bargain basement price. How in the world you arrive at such a foolish conclusion is beyond me. He wants a large multi-year deal just like every other player. And if he can't get that he wants a high salary short term deal. That's common sense man. I don't know why you'd even ask this question. He can show the same value on a high salary one-year deal as he can a low salary one-year deal. Plain and simple. The reason they didn't sign the qualifying offer is because they know there is more money if they wait. They're not dumb. Its outsiders that don't know a single thing about contract and trade discussions who are the dumb ones calling him dumb for not taking $4.3 million. 2. You don't know that he won't sign a one-year deal at some point. You act like you're an insider or something and you know he's got a one-year deal on the table. Here's the counter question. Why in the world would the Rockets offer DMo a one-year deal at this point? Think about that one Batman. They have NO REASON to offer him a one year deal now that the qualifying offer has expired. They can't trade him on a one year deal. And at the end of the season they lose control of him. Why would they offer him a one year deal? Answer that question Batman, since you know so much. Batman, you're the same guy that sat at the lunch table and swallowed down all Morey's poo about how great Terrence was. You should have laughed at him and told him you're not that gullible to believe all that garbage. But instead you ate it up and then regurgitated that turd to us and most of us ate it up like it was Halloween candy. Morey won't ever want to eat lunch with me. Because I'd call him out when he started spreading poo around. Hey, it's his job to be deceptive. You should understand that. And you should have had enough sense to smell the stank on all that. Morey knew he needed to trade Terrence when he was pumping him. He's too smart to not have known. But you bought it. Just like you're buying a sack of poo concerning DMo right now. Wake up. Smell the coffee. And be objective here. There's millions at stake. Do you really think DMo and BJ are so stupid that they'd let millions drop out of their pockets? Get it right for once.
I don't agree with the statement that we often hear : "That's just business". It's always more than that. The agent job is to achieve the best possible solution for his guy. The agent, as the "grown up" in the situation actually kept making it worst for his player, making it personal, like D-mo is not appreciated enough. At this point I'm sure it's D-mo that doesn't want to be back on the team cause he feels he's been mistreated. Agent job is to be able to say to his player, take that Bloody deal 'cause you're sure not getting a better one. The agent fell 3 times: 1) making it personal 2) failing in evaluating the situation 3) failing in explaining and directing the player to the most realistic solution to benefit with his player. Thats on his agent. The guy should be fired immediately
