U think harden not passing and playing exactly like last year is good?

 

if we had the two idiots McFail or BJ, this is what would have gone down in that final possession

1. Struggle to get the inbounds pass to Harden as he is closely guarded so call another time out at 4.9s
2. Pull out the drawing board pretending to draw up a play and yet write nothing on it
3. Once again look for Harden ONLY off the inbounds pass. Somehow manage to get the ball to him while he is closely wrestled and guarded and watch him jack up a 3 after a few dribbles with nowhere to go

Glad we finally have a coach who can draw up inbounds plays instead of the two lackeys of the previous 4 years.

 

Cuz everyone he was passing to wasn't coming through.

Learning to win ugly is important.

Not going to b**** too much cause the Refs were really f***ing us hard the last few minutes
Harden forced them to make those calls.

Calvin just said the Refs were off.

Fantastic JVG win when the shots aren't falling. We get decimated last year.

Harden had a bad 4 minutes (4th quarter?) because of a bum ankle.

It's pretty hard to win a Home and Home game against a desperate team trying not go down 0-3.

There are some positives:
The bench is able to play defense and push the lead with Harden is sitting.
KJ can play defense
The starters can play Defense
Ego can play defense
Another team held below 100
Dekker can shoot 3s
Anderson, when his shot isn't falling, can contribute in other ways rebounding
MDA can draw up a mean play when Rockets need a shot.
Wiltjer is a willing clapper from the bench

Also harden got less rest tonight . I was outside during the first few min of the 4th . Did our bench just immediately **** the bed and we had to put the starters back in ? If you factor in harden had a turned ankle and also playing on less rest it's somewhat more forgivable he played poorly down the stretch .

 

James did pass the ball there in the 4th...no one was doing much with it though. I think it's natural for your superstar player to get greedy in a close game like that. It's no win for him any ways, if he looks too passive people will say he's scared and if he's too aggressive people will say he's ballhogging. That's the life of a superstar player.

 

Wes Matthews had 9-25. The game was pretty much 1 vs 1 match up against them in the end.

Yeah the Mavs went on a big run with the bench in, they sucked.

 

Was lucky. Garbage.

 

Next few games are brutal. This team better improve promptly or it's going to get ugly fast.

 

No one is forgetting that, but you are being far too kind.

Eric Gordon is the best sidekick he's had for two years and is a massive upgrade. Outside of that we are still very very average, but just because there's a big dependency on Harden does not excuse his lacklustre play. I really don't understand how you can not blame him for the position we were in tonight.

Chucking up awful off balance threes which he hasn't made consistently for two years, not passing the ball at all. Turning the ball over repeatedly the exact same way every time. Burning the entire clock down and airballing a horrendous shot. The roster needs to be improved, but he needs to play smarter and trust Gordon more. Very poor tonight.

Harden ISO was money two seasons ago, it doesn't work consistently anymore. Move away from it.

 

Games like this build character, I'll take it. They played hard and overcame in the end.

 

Harden had to do what Harden had to do tonight. The rest of the team was horrible. He took it on his shoulders, and while it wasn't pretty, I agreed with it. Had to go down that way.

 

The Rockets are still paying McFail!!
