No way. Worst contract was Lin. We had to give up a #1 pick just to get rid of his ridiculous contract because he sucked so much
We didn't HAVE to give up the pick we CHOSE to give it up - that was a deal like TWill, Morey has had some pretty big misses lately, Harden was a MAJOR win, but most of the others have been pretty meh. DD
Let's give it a bit more time. I think there is a possibility that Ryan Anderson makes us happy. We have to do a better job of getting him open in off ball actions and maybe some more room on the block occasionally.
his 7+ years in the league mean nothing, he clearly sucks after two games on his new team and new system
Keep calm, Ryno always disappears every couple of games.Just gonna have to live with it and bet he doesn't disappear in the WCF & Finals
Ok, some of us had seen those 7 years and were like.....NO, not worth it.....still hope to be wrong but he looks like a decent off the bench role player at best...while Gordon looks like a steal. DD
His 7+ years in the league show that he sucks at everything but shooting and he hasn't shot at an acceptable level given his contract since 2013. A 40%+ 3 point shooting PF is worth a ton of money even if they suck at everything else, a PF that sucks at everything but shooting who is only htting 37% or so? Not that great.
I wish we had sign Harrison Barnes instead...rockets need more players that can put the ball on the floor and get their own shot. Too many stiffs on this team.
i think just the fact that someone HAS to stick on him helps the offense, even if he doesn't get open or score. its one less defender than can help on james or gordon driving to the basket. the other thing is, he shouldn't be the second or third best player on your team. we just dont have a lot of talent around james right now. he's the second best guy, but he's definitely not deserving of that responsibility. don't let his salary raise your expectations for him. he's a starting level player and he's looking the part. lastly, about the salary: under the new salary cap his contract isn't that bad, but its not great either. the average contract signed this summer was for $16M. that makes gordon at $12M a good deal by being about $4M under the average (and he's at least above average)... i'd consider ryno a slightly above average player and he's paid about $4M above average. not a great deal, but not too bad either.
Well we have no other choice, but I hope he finds his way, maybe he is trying to hard to live up to that massive salary? DD
When was your last win? Signed, Boki, V-Span, Brooks, and D-Mo's broken back Seriously though, this knee jerking after 2 games would be funny if it wasn't so sad. You all should get a grip.
When I become GM you can ask that question. And it is not knee jerking when you KNEW IT ALL ALONG and said so when the signing happened. DD
Really should be looking to find undervalued players with upside that could add something to our team. Ben McLemore, Tim Hardaway Jr., Josh McRoberts etc.
