I did appreciate that MDA benched Capela in anticipation of the hack-a-whoever.

If Anderson was hitting his shots I don't think MDA would have sat him.

Tyler Ennis played some fantastic defense tonight and ran the offense without turning the ball over.

I don't know why you guys are so hard on him

Second unit success is the story of this game.

Yeah that was good recognition as well. McHale was slow to adjust to things so MDA showed quicker adjustments when things weren't working in the second half.

Encouraging signs. You can't count on Ariza to score like that very often, and if he hadn't been that might have been trouble. BUT, I'd rather see defensive effort and offensive struggles than the other way around at this point in the year. Overall, good starting point to move forward from.

He make some really good plays but his defense is terrible. The man is 22 but plays like a 40-year-old.

Good win. Ariza obviously Man of the Match. Made his shots, solid D, good decisions. Didn't like McDaniels alongside the other young guns, he was way more confident later with the starters. D'Antoni should give him a try and bring Gordon of the bench.

Funny how everyone believed you need a Beverly type of just spot up shooter as a backcourt mate for Harden. Gordon proving you just needed talent and he has fit in seamlessly.

Anderson didn't have it tonight so coach just rode the hot hand. Anderson will get his numbers more often than not in this system.

1-1 in home openers on the road good. Overall the team is likely a .500 team. I don't see a 50 win team out there, but that's ok, they look better with less talent.

having Eric Gordon in the backcourt really helps, can't remember the last time we had both our backcourt players get at least 6 assists

They guarded Anderson like white on rice b/c they saw what he did to them during preseason. It would have been better for Anderson if Dirk would have played, he would have gotten open shots for sure.

    Dirk was sick.

The rest of the mavs looked useless.

I wish he would stop shooting that midrange fade away jumper. It isn't effective and it contradicts the whole shoot 3's or layups philosophy.
