Are snipers really OP? I haven't played much Scout, but it doesn't seem that way and I never felt they were OP in previous games.

I feel like they are OP, I've never had an easier time as a scout than in Battlefield One. I feel like I am AWPing in CSGO at times. It has a lot to due with the fact that the effective range of all classes got cut down which tends to help out snipers more.

I've liked all Battlefield games EXCEPT for Hardline & the new Star Wars (terrible). I did not care for the demo much at all. Still think I would like this game? It felt overly complicated, yet the weaponry, destruction and vehicles were all neutered - which is a very weird combo. Crank up the intricacy, crank down the gadgets - what?

But if the real game is far superior to the demo and on par with most BF's then I AM DOWN.

It's more polished than the demo, but you may not like it if you're all about customizing your weapons with attachments and vehicular warfare. The technology wasn't really there for WW1, and they didn't make things up to replace it. Each class has 4 basic weapons with 3 variants, pretty much. Regular, scoped, and hip fire.

I think there's less focus on vehicles. Tanks are nearly indestructible because only one class has the weaponry to counter them and you need 7 explosive hits to do it which one person doesn't have the ammo capability to, but there's much less tanks in play than the modern Battlefields. No helicopters, either. Battlefield 1 feels more infantry-based, which caters to my style of play anyway.

Yeah, sounds lame. Ha. Battlefield 1943 was a BLAST for me, but it was very simple. BF5 felt overly complex with no payoff. Work twice as hard to control a slow ass tank that doesn't really ball out the same way a ZBO would.

I think BF1 is very comparable to Battle Field 1942.....as in there really isn't all that much customizations of the weapons. Vehicles are limited.

I love the game though. I didn't care for the new star wars, as I'm not into futuristic shooters. I love the flow / gameplay of BF1. I'm more of an infantry combat player anyways, which is why I also love the game SQUAD.

Operations is damn fun in BF1, where the maps basically play like a story with new areas needed to be captured etc. The beta's map sucks, don't use that to judge the game. This game has some phenomenal maps.

This has been the first Battlefield game I have enjoyed in a long time.

I think the classes are pretty balanced this time around. I haven't had any issues with enemy snipers in the game. And + 1 for the support class with the mortars. There's great satisfaction in shelling some infantry in Operations.

It's a breathtaking, visceral take on World War I. At times, I feel overwhelmed by the chaotic nature of the trench warfare the game depicts. But it's a lot of fun - the highlight is definitely the Operations mode.

I thought about going home early sick (really am sick) to do the same.

Went to work instead, only to discover on the ride home that I have strep throat. Should have stayed home.

Servers just constantly go down. When they work, I've had no issues.

Currently, I'm trying to max Assault so I can get his weapon. Medic is level 3 and Scout is 1. Haven't touched Support yet but I heard a mortar nerf is coming. I only play conquest so mortars aren't a big deal there.

Mortars are ridiculous in implementation. Either remove the birdseyeview or nerf the damage. It is ridiculous that you pretty have wallhacks when using the mortar lol.

Mortars are also immune to bayonet charges as I learned and ended up dying after running right through one lol.
