harden loops like a beast on offense when they let him freelance but we need beverly or kj next to him when he does that

part of it is probably the osama beard. but also he's an easy target for them because he doesn't talk back, preferring to just brush off any critics. take westbrook, on the other hand, who calls out reporters whenever they throw any shade on him.

When our games are on national tv I don't watch pregames, postgame or any halftime crap. National media is biased against us, just look at how much love Dwight is getting now that he's gone its ridiculous

same its almost like if the nba was on fs1 or nbc, they wouldnt even be on espn. Adam silver almost sold those nba rights to those other networks, which would have meant more games on other channels, and regular tv. But ESPN dished out the cash

I remember when I was young and dumb and used to get all worked up over opinions of national talking heads I didn't even care about. What a waste of time and energy that was.

    I don't even care anymore...

But I'd still like to know why ESPN hates us? We are just another mediocre team and you don't usually hate on mediocre teams. It's not like we are the Warriors to hate on us or we have assembled a super team.

Do they hate us because of our know it all GM who thinks he has solved basketball in Maury? Do they hate us because of Harden's beard? Do they hate us because we have Keith Jones who takes up all the buffet line spaces?

Why the **** would they give us some respect? Everyone is laughing at us. We've been a joke for the last 20 years and just because a state padder stat padded his stats we should be saluted?

I think they hate Harden because he had the audacity to say he felt he deserved the MVP over Curry. In the national medias eyes he committed blasphemy. I think he also gets strikes against him because old school basketball types hate Morey, and therefore the Rockets, because of his analytical approach. And the fact that he played the last few years with Dwight Howard who happens to be one of the most hated players in the NBA didn't help either.

don't really get why people make it a big issue with the rockets and the media "bias". Who cares. What exactly have they done to earn some huge coverage and the utmost respect. not much i'd say. I'd rather them have the mentality with the chip on their shoulder but year after year that's shown to be a disappointment. People get all hyped bc you hear the right things in training camp over and over and over. Yet come to find out it's all talk as usual once things get rolling. You want respect. Earn it first. Players aren't entitled to anything.

Not surprising. Ya'll remember Jon Barry's nut riding of the Clippers game 6 of the playoffs? He was basically shittin on us for 3 quarters, then when we came back he sounded disappointed and dejected he wouldn't see the Clippers succeed. ESPN is about LA, NY & anything Lebron, Curry or GSW worthy. The only time we're getting mentioned is if Harden has a embarrassing defensive momment or MDA has a horrible start

It's just like when everyone was b****in about Curry getting all the attention (and MVP) over Harden...

If you were running a sports channel would you rather highlight...

    A) The happy looking guy who sets records for 3 pointers that is regularly seen with his attractive wife and kid...
    or
    B) The aloof dour guy with the terrorist beard who sets the record for turnovers, that is often seen at strip clubs partying it up with skanks...

Media conspiracy is a cop out - it's all about marketability....

I think the worst it got was when SAS got on national TV and blamed McHale getting fired strictly on Dwight, which made Houston look terrible. Then Barkley got on tv and said Houston owed him money. ESPN/TNT just has a bias against James and Houston. If he went to LA they would make him the next Kobe, and turn us into Cleveland

Oh, they know. I post on another message board with a guy that went to school with Amin ElHassan and he always talks about how Amin tells him ESPN is borderline WWE when it comes to the takes and they are ENCOURAGED by management to be inflammatory

At least Beadle is a Spurs fan so it is expected that she'd hate the Rockets. I don't know what is up with Nichols.

Realize though how no one is trashing Anthony Davis as he put up 50 in a loss to the Nuggets though. It feels like another year where the Media will drive the narrative around him then the following year all complain about how he didn't make the All NBA team again.
