Disagree... Harden did not actually try harder on defense. He stayed with his man maybe half a second longer than he usually does...
You tried to refute my film review based point with a subjective effort estimation. No clap clap here please
Yup, exactly this. It's about being a fun team to watch, score and get Harden's stats up. Even Harden himself is okay with just getting his own numbers. If anybody thinks these guys and especially Harden is about winning, I'll show you a horse with a horn.
Point 4, OP. I do not think MDA is cut out for this. He is just a nice guy. Another nice guy. McHale was way more 'in your face' sort of person.
We need a true center who could rebound the ball and defend the paint area. Without that, it's going to be a long season.
I don't know if that's accurate - Les wants to win he's just chosen a bad way of doing it - he installed Pringles, his longtime obsession. So he's getting Pringles ball. What are Harden and Ryan Anderson and whoever else is here now, going to do, start holding the ball till 3 seconds left and score 80 points a game? Given the coachign and the skill sets the team has assembled, , the best bet [if you're about winning is to try to outscore people now. Use offense as a defense. Not really a whole lot else to try at this stage, it's too late.
I think Les wants to win a championship - but its not his top priority.... His #1 goal is to make money. Provide an entertaining product that puts butts in seats and fills his coffers... Undoubtedly a championship would be nice - but not his primary goal... Cuban on the other hand... is a total tool, but I believe that dude would be willing to lose money if he could win it all...
The defensive lapses are expected. The problem is that our offense was not fulfilled to its max capacity. Our game plan is to score and score some more @ a very high clip. That was not achieved on opening night.
