I had a feeling we were going to lose and you knew it was going to be close with the way we defend and boy it was even worse than pre-season. Nobody consistently boxed out and when the first guy did and the ball bounced the other way they had an easy putback, there was no helping the helper, we defended waaaayyy too much with our hands trying to get steals than with our bodies etc. Just awful. People can be excited about those Harden numbers all they want, when it mattered, he crumbled with his slow mo dribbling outside the 3pt line and just jacking them up.

Also, what is up with all of these threes by Gordon & Ryan just straight off the dribble, they are catch and shoot guys when it comes to threes. Ryan wants to hoist them up as soon as he catches them, doesn't matter from where..Ryan seems to have tunnel vision when he drives, never passes it and just goes into flailing mode when he gets touched or bumped slightly.

What was up with Nene? FTs missing, easy shots at the rim, could not catch a rebound when it was contested, those legs are not as fresh and in the pre-season it was others maybe not caring as much. Brewer's shot is just cringe worthy on all of the shots. Ennis single-handedly cost us 10 points with his indecisions or hesitation on what to do.

I am positive about 3 guys: KJ, Dekker & Capela. Those guys were good to very good. They were active, stayed within their roles and just did what they had to do. Gordon was okay too and Harden was good at times, but I expect more. He's forcing things just to get those assists and I'm not sure this is the right way to go. Also his attitude when he gets scored on and just doesn't care and infuriatingly waits for a teammate to take the ball out even though he's the closest to it. At times a guy had to come back from midcourt.

This is going to be a long season, we can go 0-3 easily..

Sure, you are right, we got to tone down with the meltdowns after one or couple games but one thing is for sure.

This aint a cakewalk to 50 wins as some have thought even without major injuries.

I do not think the Nene signing will help us a lot, to be honest it is 4 or 5 years too late.

You mean, our guys are tired, so we should find a way to play the tired ones less minutes?

Thanks coach. Kevin Mchale wouldn't have said maybe the game plans off, even after three seasons.

There was a point in the first half when I talked myself into believing Harden will actually average 12 assists a game this year.

The second half was a good showcase for why that won't happen. When the chips were down, we went away from the motion sets and just started spray-and-praying jumpers.

I truely believe if we had prigioni instead of ennis running the second unit, we should have won the game.

Of course everyone can see we have a big whole in interior defense, Laker dont have an elite front line and we still couldnt handle it. I can imagine we will get rapped hard againts teams with great big men. It's going to be another painful season if we dont upgrade our front court.

When we acquired Nene I mentioned how he was a bad defender, then had 4-5 CFers jump on me telling me how wrong I was.

This is why the wise never doubt Haymitch.
