Pretty much. That's Nene for you. Some nights he looks like a beast and other nights he looks like he doesn't give a single ____. Up to the coach to realize when he doesn't care and play someone else that will.

Is there a legit way we can fix the interior defense? That's a bigger issue than the perimeter D. I'll live with teams making contested Js all day but the interior D needs to be fixed ASAP. Don't know if it's Harrell or DMo or what but we need to do something about it. Nene was brutal.

Sign Dmo and find a way to trade for Tyson Chandler.

Probably play Ryno at the 3, he seems like he's allergic to the paint and it at least would take minutes away from Brewer...

What a sh1tty way to start the season. They could lose on Friday as long as they won this one for so many reasons. The lame ass Lakers, Russel acting like he just won the Finals, the heckler, even Denzel's smug ass. Rockets just gave Luke his first win, too.

I'm not sure about this guys...to me Nene is a good fighter, other guys (Anderson, Gordon, Harden) are way softer than him, and for me this is a huge hole we have...and btw, we know Nene is not a rim protector, but he's a good defender, when you have Gordon, Harden, Anderson playing with you, you're going to have big problems guarding the paint, because everyone will basically enter the paint for free...i saw him two times tonight after the Lakers had a free layup ,giving a "bad" look at Anderson...i mean, the defense has to work as a team.

MDA should have played Capela all the preseason minutes. He should have run Capela until he barfed. Capela needs to get in better condition. No way Nene is in to end the game if Capela wasn't so winded.

I really expected us to win tonight. 0-1 is always an awful start.

I'm actually worried that I'm not really upset. I think I'm getting used to us being terrible, which sucks.

The Lakers might not be as bad as people think. They lost Byron Scott which has to be worth at least 10 wins.

Just one game, let's not go crazy here. We have a brutal road stretch the first 20 games so we need to try to keep our head up, esp until Bev gets back.

    Good:
Harden-looked incredible in the first half and good in the second
Capela-protects the rim pretty well, great at the PnR so far, few mistakes
KJ, Ariza, Dek-I thought they all played pretty well with few mistakes
I thought we looked like we defended the 3 okay most of the time, LA made some lucky 3's w/a hand in their face.
They have some talent on their team. Russell, Randle, Ingram (though he's young), even Clarkson

    Bad:
It's weird that we were really up almost all of the first 3 quarters. We fell apart in the 4th.
Felt like LA made all the hustle and 2nd chance points
Nene-didn't rebound well or defend the paint, made Mozgov look good
Ryan-he's going to be frustrating when his shot doesn't fall, he doesn't rebound well or play defense
Gordon-I thought he looked great but then I looked at his stats. He missed a bunch of 3's at the end.
We are still a live by 3 or die by 3 team. FT% outside of Harden was awful.
We let them shoot 50%. Blech.
I didn't think Ennis was as horrible as others did. Brewer actually wasn't awful tonight.

Look, as much as I hate the Lakers I would rather lose to them and beat Dallas than beat LA and lose to Dallas. Right?

Could not make a defensive stop whatsoever. Pretty sad. And then you consider the young and inexperienced team you couldn't stop. And you know how young they were? Every one of them was showboating like rookies when they made plays

Was this post-game excuse by MDA mentioned in the thread, already.

I can hear Les now. I got winded just watching them. But it sure was fun, wasn't it. Like going to the horse track.

Ennis really did kill our momentum in the opening stretch of the 4th.

Never ever play that shitty ass scrub Ennis! I rather have Ball hog Bobby brown in there scoring at will. And brewer oh sorry ass should sit down and give Kyle Wilter some mins or Montrez some time
