ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Lakers 10/26/2016

Team looked tense. WE ALL knew "D" and rebounding was gna be the issue. RyAn can't rebound or box out and collective effort on that end looked dismal!

On bright side was just one game but then again it came at the hand of the Lakers

 

Wow, if GSW losing to Spurs by 28 pts is like getting b**** slapped, Lakers beating Houston is like getting slapped in the face by a dick. WTF was that sorry excuse of a game? Totally wasted Harden's career night, Capela's effort in the opening quarters and Gordon's good performance on both ends of the court.

Ryan "Tissue Paper" Anderson

And Brewer just needs to sit, I have no idea why MDA didn't put the leash on these 4 guys when they started scrubbing it out there, Ariza and KJ should've gotten more burn. Hell, maybe put in Harrell in there so Anderson and Nene get the message. I can understand when the Houston bigs get beaten by guys like Pau Gasol, Al Horford, LMA etc but wtf was that Tarik Black, Mozghov, Nance Jr and Randle are like the worst front court in the league! These are all scrubs(except for Mozghov) and our big men except for Capela made them look like all stars. Ugh can't even express how pissed off I am by this game to think I was looking forward to this all week.I thought Houston was gonna surprise everybody turns out I'm the one surprised by how bad our big men D is.

 

This sounds like b****ing about not getting the toys you want for Christmas. Does whining like this really make loses easier to stomach for you guys??

And take that Texans crap somewhere else.

 

If he can't play fast without turnovers then he shouldn't be the PG

 

First game of the season, the year we went to the Western Conference Finals we lost to the Lakers on opening night and followed that up with a loss to the mavs two days later. Nobody sucks right now its too early to tell, ok the knicks still suck but even they can make the playoffs.

 

Pertaining to the long term success of this organization, I think it'd be best we get that top 5 pick to pair with Harden. However, that won't happen. This team is still good enough to snag a lower seed in the west. Bleh...

I view this game as more of a fluke since harden, Anderson and Gordon went 5-22 from three which will not happen often

 

LOL, this guy want to cry about the lucky shot,

and somehow he forgot the NENE bank shot and almost 90% of the 3 point shots that Anderson made are 4 feet away from the arc also.

 

The rotation decisions tonight were very strange. Too much Ennis and Nene, not enough KJ and Dekker.

We desperately need another ball handler and a plus rebounder.

Everything went to crap when the Lakers denied Harden the ball in the 3rd. If we had competent players we should be able to attack 4 on 4 since the court would be so open.

We need more guys like Gordon who can get their own shots without being spoon fed perfect looks. The Laker defense outside of Harden was very soft. Ennis refuses to even attempt a layup (and makes terrible passes), Ariza can't dribble well enough to attack the creases, and Ryno is too slow to even beat aggresive close outs. I've never seen a guy take one dribble past a defender and have to fadeaway because the defense already recovered.

I have no idea what we have with Capela. I don't know if he will ever be able to be a 30+ minutw player and I have little hope that he will ever be an even abobe average rebounder for his position. His play style on offense is perfect for us but his stamina and inability to be productive against full soze Centers is problematic

Even so, this is a new season. Has nothing to do with last year or any other year. New coach, new system, new players and new season. Houston fans complain about the lack of respect on National TV yet Houston's own fan base bashes the team. SMH

Is Brock or Ryan stealing more money? That is not an easy one to answer. I'd probably go with Ryan because his contract is fully guaranteed. Jeff Bzd!cklick is obviously not the defensive savior and guru he was made out to be. Not many can turn horsesh!t into house salad. And definitely not him. He needs to start packing his bags along with D'Antoni the phony and Fat boy binge-eating Morey. Le$ needs to disappear as well. Time to rebuild.

 

I don't get Nene. Tries hard in preseason, plays good defense, hits free throws. Then the regular season starts and he just looked like he didn't give a ****. Especially on defense, holy hell that was terrible. But I really blame the coach for playing him that much.
