I was really afraid of this. Astros, Texans, now Rockets. Is this going to be a bad year for all houston sports? I really need the rockets to be good.

He never has open looks from 3. He's not Steph Curry. Some of the 3s he takes are really tough. When open he usually hits them. I get what you're saying it would be nice if he improved but I just don't think he will ever be better than a 37% 3pt shooter really.

But, but what about our preseason championship?

    God, we were awful.

Man, we are going to get absolutely wrecked by teams with legitimate big men.

as horrible as our defense was, randle had no business being 9/11. maybe 5/11 on the quality of shots he got. several flips over outstretched arms, a ridiculously lucky roll on a 3 point play where he was shooting an on-the-run baseline 7 foot floater. the one time all night nene actually played defense randle somehow shoots it over him and gets another lucky roll.

and clarkson didn't have much business being 8/12 either. quite a few long off the dribble jumpers i remember. but that's why you don't play close games against terrible teams (we might be one of them), because when it's a one point game and jordan freakin' clarkson makes a 26 foot off the dribble steph curry 3 and randle flips up some crap that rolls in, you fall behind by 6 and can't win.

One thing I've learned the past day or so is people put a lot into one game. You'd think the first game is the only game in the NBA.

    - Warriors Suck and will implode
    - Spurs v Cavs finals
    - Embiid is the next Hakeem
    - Rockets getting a top 5 pick

This was a sucky loss because it felt like we should have won and players that played well were sitting. As for the Lakers not sure, young team so they will probably do this to a few teams, with it being opening night at home they certainly had a lot more energy.

It always suck to lose. Houston fans need to have more faith. Lose 1st game and season is over? -_-

harden walking the ball up was on purpose to help minimize his turnovers which it did. in the preseason he was playing too fast and it showed. i think this was a conscience decision before the game and it did work. we didn't lose because of offense we lost because we played poor D and a few lakers went ham.

    What a stupid argument.

So you want to make a big deal about Harden should rest in the 10 minute mark or instead he rested in the 11:15 mark?

You want our coach to call a timeout so that he Harden can go to his chair?

Its the first game of the season and obviously Harden was totally gassed when he sat down at the end of first Q, and you still want to complain about the 6 mins rest too long?

Alright we will be fine. Coach will make adjustments and we will win 10 in a row. No worries.

    Right guys?

I thought ISO Harden ball was over with. Lol hmmm I guess not because we completely went away from what was working all freaking game down the stretch.

And the Lakers got a lot of lucky bounces. But that's what happens when you take a scrub team lightly and let them hang around.

I really hope harden can tame these boneheaded TOs.
Also never play Ennis again and don't close out with Nene
