You believing that now pretty much sets up your agenda and classifies you as a Kubiak advocate/diehard. Your opinion has trended (severely) towards that any move this front office has made is likely destined to fail, till proven otherwise. To the point that you're looking for any/all reasons to discount wins and prop up losses as a negative towards the front office. I doubt I'm the only one who sees it... but a cursory glance at your post history via the search function is only missing a "debbie downer" logo as your avatar.
Bill, why haven't you been calling plays he likes all this time?! Bill, will you continue to call plays he likes in the future?
The Colts are ranked 31st in DVOA; the Vikings are ranked 2nd. If you're going to "yeah but" the Colts, you have to also "yeah but" the Vikings accordingly. And, BTW: the Titans (7th) and KC (9th) are also ranked in the top 10 in DVOA. More on this below - but Osweiler, on the team's final 8 drives (including OT and not including regulation kneel-down): 23/31; 255 yards; 8.2 YPA; 2 TDs; 1 INT; 106.3 QB rating; 26 points. Sure; please do. Except... they kind of did... again, looking at their last eight possessions (including OT and not including regulation kneel-down); they scored on five of them. 11 plays | 66 yards: FG 4 plays | 12 yards (end of half; drive started at their own 8) 10 plays | 82 yards: TD 2 plays | INT 5 plays | 13 yards (two offensive holding penalties) 12 plays | 75 yards: TD 3 plays | 53 yards: TD 6 plays | 52 yards: GW FG. I mean, that's 26 points in almost exactly 2.5 Qs. And they only had 2 3-and-outs all night. Had last night been week 1, and we didn't have all the actual weeks 1-5 baggage, I think most fans would have been overjoyed with last night's effort. Osweiler was really good, overall, for 2.5 Qs, including leading the team to an improbable come-from-behind win against a team they NEVER beat like that. So, again - last night seems like a weird time to just haphazardly pick-up the same ol thread about Osweiler not being good. Last night may be a flash in the pan - but until it is... it happened and it was pretty damn encouraging.
O'Brien came in with DeAndre Hopkins and a top ten OL and turned it into one of the most embarrassing offenses in the league
A QB Guru that hasn't developed a single QB (including Brock) and instead just keeps throwing them out and asking for new ones. At this rate he is a QB KILLER!! On that issue alone BOB could be fired.
Each team in teh AFC South is laughing at each other's coaching situation and its permanence. Gus Bradley, Mularkey, Pagano, BOB, 4 sides of the same chuck'e cheese token.
Well, we're not going to get a new owner so you gotta fire who you can. Scouts, GM, head coach all need to be put on the chopping block.
Just heard on 790 that Brock was never BOB's guy; Smith and company took Brock because they liked him. No wonder BOB isn't changing the offense to fit Brock. I think he wants Brock to fail because he was never his guy. It makes so much sense. This **** looks absolutely ridiculous.
That's just stupid, Brock failing means BOB fails and no one who cares about themselves would sabotage themselves to prove a point. These are professionals, not petulant children.
I'd bet that what went down here with the Brock sigining was the same thing that happened with the Rockets hiring of D'Antoni - that this move was the owner's decision. of course if BoB is stupid enough to want the kid to fail then his ass will heading out the door right after Osweiller's.
Brock failing doesn't mean BOB is out. We thought (I thought) this was BOB's guy so his tenure would be tied to Brock. Since this was never his guy this almost absolves BOB from blame. It doesn't seem like BOB is drawing plays to make Brock successful. Professionals and petulant children aren't always mutually exclusive, see Dwight Howard. BOB might hide it better than most. This is not a vote of confidence for Brock by the way.
Just like the D'Antoni hiring. The difference is Morey got players that would work in D'Antoni's system. Morey wants the Rockets to win. BOB doesn't look like he wants Brock to succeed. Its weird as hell to me.
