Getting ready to bump "The Answer: FIRE MOREY" thread in case Wiltjer is cut over Bobby "YMCA looking bum" Brown.

Note: you have to look passed this current last cut. We actually have to cut two of these guys once DMo signs.

Why don't they just cut Sewer? You're already throwing away money by paying Mcfail.

Probably, but I'm starting to believe that D-Mo might actually go back to Europe, just to be a dick. Either way, I don't think that would materially influence my choice in this case.

You're probably right, but since he's young there's still a chance he will develop his game, Brown is who he is at this point...i mean, you said you've seen nothing from Ennis (which is ok tbh), but what have you seen in Brown's game aside his horrible defense and the fact that he was able to chuck up a lot of shots in a single garbage time game...?

Whether Ennis is cut or not I don't believe either way would be a huge loss. A player like him with nothing special and who has shown only marginal improvement would be at best a 3 string pg anyway. Most probably if not cut now, he will be cut and out of the league in the very near future anyway.

Meh, nothing really. But he's had some productive seasons overseas and Harden seems to like him. Neither have been any good, but you could argue that Brown's been slightly better in his limited NBA minutes, and he might be better now. We're talking about end-of-the-bench bodies either way, but for one year I think Brown could have slightly more upside.

Ennis, I've thought was a scrub going back to his days at 'Cuse. But I hate Syracuse, so maybe it's just my bias talking.

Since you mention "in either case" in regard to DMo signing or not Who would you keep, if you had to cut two of the three.

    That's my question

Lol. Brown if far from a scrub. He can atleast put up points and get his own shot. Wiltjer is a spot up shooter, that's it. No defense, no rebounding, no steals or assist. The only thing is he looks "friendlier" than Brown. Having a friendly team doesn't win you anything in this league though

Brown is a 32 year old garbage "PG" with no sense of what teamwork is all about.

Yeah I mean why fixate over Bobby Brown? Got RJ Hunter an elite shooter if you want somebody who can score.

I suppose that's doable for 20 games while PB is down, as I'm confident Morey and MDA can convince Wiltjer to stay with the Vipers and he'll get signed by January. I don't fear him signing immediately with someone else, certainly not without warning us.

That said, I'm cutting someone the moment PB is activated to make room for Wiltjer. Or ideally, we've made a roster reduction trade for a draft pick by then

What exactly brought you to this to this interesting conclusion?

I was hoping that Payton would make the team. I wish good luck to all these players.

Need that salary in a future deal. I would be very surprised if Morey was not working feverishly trying to get something done.

    NO sense of teamwork?
Everyone goes after his his offensive display in the SA game, but seem to toss out the fact that
he had 9 assists in his short span. Could have EASILY had 12 AST and a double-double if not passing to brickers. (hence the need
    for more offense)
Do we not need scoring in our bench unit? Ennis? please. He couldn't shoot his way out of a wet paper bag.
He's not even consistent finishing at the rim if he DOES get in the lane. I don't hate the kid, just feel like he
doesn't bring much to the table here.
And besides, Brown has chemistry with The Beard.
I'm not in love with Brown either, but when you gotta make and either/or choice. It's pretty easy.
