This is one of the more stressful episodes of the series. Can't tell if its because of better directing, acting, or just the story.
Maggie looks like shes fixing to invite Negan to church and then blow up said church with a greenish glowing flammable liquid.
If you like torture p*rn, yeah. It does make you intensely hate the new big bad, but I have to agree with @FishBulb913, I was not entertained. I was pretty unnerved uncomfortable by the whole episode. I think that was the idea. So I guess they did their job?
This episode and the season finale should have been combined, because as I feared, it really was lacking any emotional impact. Had all Summer to wait and confirm what I pretty much figured. Much better ways to have handled it. Lots of positives still. Was plenty gruesome and Negan as villain is 10x better than any other villain the show has had so far. The way he scared the defiance and strength out of Rick was a bit jaw dropping. But overall the episode was just average. Part rehash, part unsurprising character developments but really good ending when they get to the aftermath.
