I still say it, I'll trade him for some Chips and guac from Chipotle in a heartbeat. I lol'd at open practice today, bricked a corner 3, got a steal on one end and turned it over at the other right away.

Another way of looking at the Rockets Injury Curse.

How does this guy never get injured on his out of control play?

Only skill is cherry picking (at the cost of rebounding/defense)

Yeah that makes it significantly worse. Only players that can help the team get hurt, scrubs like Brewer would never so much as get a hangnail. The Texans' season last year was salvaged due to their very own version of Corey Brewer getting injured on 2 separate occasions, the Rockets just don't have that kind of luck.

I was thinking like half an already smoked virginia slim. Skinny little cig, takes like 2 drags to smoke it so it's quick and it sucks because you suck it and it's bad for you AND it's gross because it's already smoked….Like a pack of half smoked VS that cost 8 million. That's Corey Brewer's game to me.

BUT THAT'S NOT AS FUNNY AS BRICKOPOTAMUS

I think I'm going to stick with Brickopotamus. He bricks bricks by the brick and is on a fat contract that is slowly working it's way through.

I'm calling you all out on hindsight. Nobody complained about Brewer's contract when it was signed. In fact Aaron Afflalo signed for the same amount at that time - not a word

At the time I thought it an ok deal. After the new tv money came in, his contract looked better.

All that assumed he could continue to be 14-15 version of himself. If he was even 75% of that he might still be ok on that contract. But he hasn't and doesn't show any signs of contributing near that level again. So yeah his contract is now a junk grade.

Well clearly that's where everyone went wrong.

Yeah. I actually was one of the few who argued against getting him, but dang - I thought the guy proved me wrong the rest of that season and the playoffs. Brewer was a badass in those playoffs, and there wasn't much said in opposition to signing. Saying he sucks now - that's just observation. Saying he was a bad signing - that's something people should have said back then to get credit.

    Many people did.

Regardless, he's not half the player he was before he signed the contract. Sure, there's a reasonable expectation of slow decline. But the guy has fallen off the face of the planet for a season and a preseason.

It's frustrating to see him play. He completely lost his feel for the game. If he was upset how he played last year, he doesn't look like he's changed his approach at all, so far. Such a loose cannon. Can't even put a string of good plays together.

Well, I suppose I could be wrong. My bad.

Still....I think my point holds for some of us. Brewer definitely is terrible now. But unless you were calling the contract bad when it was signed, you really can't bash Morey for it now.

I can't even stand it in the preseason.

I mean the game doesn't even count and I want him out. That's bad.
