yeah sorry no way its BG. We dont have the assets to even make anything other than a laughable offer.
Yeah, i was thinking the same tbh. But i also think Ryan Anderson could fit very well in that team, with DeAndre, Paul...maybe if Griffin wants out at some point, we may be in the mix since he's an expiring and so he can pretty much pick his next team in a trade scenario...Dekker or Ariza should also be interesting pieces for the Clippers since they've only crap in the SF spot, random thoughts, but still...
Yes! You're back! Thanks COD hope all is well with you! I really hope Morey can make some magic happen with the roster we have.
I'm curious. Let's say dmo goes to EL for a year or two and either the league or players elect to end the current cba in 2017 which I think there is a clause allowing them. Would the rox still have rfa rights on dmo under a newly ratified cba?
Who the hell is that? BG? Wow I'd be all over that but doubt it'll happen, the backlash from Clippers would be too much he's like the only one propping up LA right now everyone knows CP3's window has closed. I'd rather see if we can get a big guy from Sactown and Philly, as long as Capela or Harden aren't involved I'm down with that. Thanks for the info, unlike other "insiders" who claim what would happen Codman always has the disclaimer that these are the things currently being discussed but things may change. His posts always provide food for thought whether it ends up happening or not. As for DMO he'd easily be worth 8M but considering how bad the market has turned on him he needs to be mature enough to realize there are legit questions on his back, I guess he felt blindsided by the Rhyno trade since he always felt he would be the 2nd option but with his injury it's hard to say how good he can be. He shouldn't expect the Rox to bet the farm on his health, although I expect that in typical Maury fashion the cold blooded nature of negotiations left him feeling a bit bitter the way previous guys did like Goran Dragic, Lowry and Mandry.
Codman, you are most welcome here! As far as these comments....looking to get bigger. Well, as far as Jahlil Okafor (I'm guessing he's the "footwork" dude?), he hasn't been playing, probably due to an injury. (Someone here suggested Nerlens but I think he's out with a minor surgery.) Sacramento does make sense in a lot of ways as a trade partner, but they might be paralyzed with fear over making their next mistake. Rudy Gay could still be that expiring contract (if he makes good on the promise to opt out next season). The Kings have Skal Labissiere, whom the Rockets semi-coveted at the draft; maybe he could be the "string bean with potential" (but hell, Zhou Qi fits that bill). Koufos might be another possibility (isn't he also an expiring?); hell, I'd get him just so we could get his wife court side. Codman, be well, get well, stay well!
Sorry DMo - that is the nature of the business, and Morey has proven time and time again he is a numbers guy, not a people guy, so.....either you sign or you don't..... The clock moves on. DD
What do Grace Kelly, Anne Hathaway, and Tim Conway have to do with the GARM? The answer awaits you in D&D. Spencer Hawes, Codman? He's available, from what I understand. We could do worse. Always good to see you post, Cod.
DMO is delusional if he thinks he is worth a lot of money. If he really is, why is any other NBA team has not sign him yet? Come on DMO sign with Rockets, prove you can stay healthy a full year, and sign an extension next year.
Who's one person who hasn't tasted your legendary brisket? Hint: he bumps off replicants for a living.
Rudy Gay + Trevor Ariza + Clint Capela (the [former, now 10-12 lbs heavier] "string bean" with potential?) Not sure how you pry away Rudy without giving the Kings a PG since we know they want one in return; could have been Beverley, but now he has the knee issue.
I highly doubt COD is talking about BG come on guys we don't have the assets for one and we just have Anderson 80 million.
Spencer Hawes makes sense, but I don't believe he is a redhead. It would be sense for the Clips to trade BG. He's a free agent after this year, but we don't have anything to they would want. BG to MIA makes the most sense IMO
Desperation is a stinky cologne. Come on Dmo. You aren't getting a better offer. You aren't going to a better team (unless possibly you agree to sign and trade somewhere but unlikely any good teams are trading any good players for an oft-injured, physical-failing malcontent). You aren't going to sit out for a year. Let's go big fella, sign the contract and WORK for the next one. That's how it is.
