I felt like the first two seasons of Arrow were the best writing out of any of the DC-CW universe seasons. The Flash lost me from all the deus ex machina and OP abilities he's able to do, plus the inconsistencies in time travel and multiverses.
Very fun episode! night 2 of the 4 part event complete. These aliens came out of no where though. They should have given us some indication they were coming throughout the season. They could have easily used the after credit clips for this purpose. I feel bad for the people who haven't been watching all 4 programs; some plot points bleeding over.
Came off overall as a bit meh Some cliches and again more of the "Lie to you to protect you" crap they always do Rocket River
Aww man.. Only a "meh"? I really liked it, I really enjoyed the character interactions. Cisco was the only annoying part. He is really good at outing peoples secrets. First Caitlin, now Barry. Flashpoint Cisco is the freaking pits.
Negative Cisco is starting to wear on me. I get that Flash, as a whole, needs a B-plot to go along with Alchemy and Savitar, but I went from sympathizing with Cisco to thinking his character is annoying, now. Same with Diggle - ok, sure, he lost out on having a daughter, but he has a son, in this timeline. It's not like Barry changed the timeline so that Lyla couldn't have kids or something, thus robbing Dig of the chance to have a child. After the initial shock of "I could have had a daughter instead of a son?!", there shouldn't have been more to be fleshed out. Back to the story though - it'll be interesting to see how the superheroes combat the Dominators. Apparently, each of the aliens are as "indestructible" as Kara? So if they couldn't even take down Kara, how do they expect to take down the Dominators, even with Kara's help? Also, you know who else is an alien? Freakin' Martian Manhunter. Kara couldn't say to Barry and Cisco on her earth, "hey, let's make a quick detour and get a legit alien to also fight alongside us." I mean, the DEO was literally made to fight alien obstacles - you'd think Martian Manhunter would at least be an interested party.
Yeah, I had all of those problems with it so far. Also, why wouldn't she pop over to grab her cousin Kal? If they rolled in with Superman, Supergirl, and Martian Manhunter, they could solve pretty much any problem in about 2 days along with the rest of the group.....but that wouldn't allow them to fill 4 shows with it. As to the Diggle and Cisco BS, it just falls flat. Sure I could see him being upset about his brother, but not to the ridiculous levels that they have him acting. The Diggle nonsense about being upset about a boy rather than a girl is just flat out stupid.
I can understand the logistics of Superman not being there. Taking Superman away from that earth, even for 2 days or so, might be disastrous, so it makes sense for Kara not to go to Kal-El. But not taking MM is strange - Alex (and Mon-El) is perfectly capable of handling the DEO for a few days (not to mention, when's the last time the show even had an alien threat? It's all about Cadmus now), so the DEO doesn't need Hank Henshaw there. Cisco getting pissy about his brother is to be expected, but you're right, the level at which he's pissed, is ridiculous. Although Barry did tweak the timeline, it wasn't like Barry actively knew Dante would die. Everyone (Cisco, Diggle, White Canary, etc) is giving Barry so much crap about saving his mom, when in reality, everyone would do the exact same thing. You bet WC would save her sister over Barry's mom. You bet Cisco would save his brother over Barry's mom. I dunno if you've been keeping up with all 4 shows, but hearing White Canary try to lecture Barry on not altering the timeline, when in LoT, she's tried multiple times to kill Dahrk on their missions to try and prevent her sister from dying, was facepalm-worthy. The episode was amazing, but I'd ding it just because there was just too much negativity (Cisco's angst, Wally's naive eagerness) in an episode where it should have been more fun. I will say, the scene where Barry had to fight Atom/Firestorm/Supergirl and Oliver fighting WC/Thea/Diggle was pretty sick.
I had forgotten about Arrow, but nice to reconnect. I liked Supergirl. Might check out her show. Overall enjoyed the episode. So now I have to watch Arrow to see the next part? Did I see Superman there?
I haven't watched it, but read the synopsis. It sounds dumb. I stopped watching Supergirl after season 2, and Legends has been so hit and miss for me.
All the CW superhero shows have steadily gone down hill except Black Lightning. I don't think there is any way to pull up from this tailspin. I still watch all of them though..
The CW shows have turned from bad, to worse to complete garbage. Arrow was watchable for the first season or two. Legends is impossible to keep up with.
I've lost interest in the entire CW verse. It was so promising once with the Flash starting hot and Arrow coming off the masterful season 2. At a certain point I just couldn't care anymore despite my best efforts.
Supergirl dove into the crapper the second it came to CW Flash's descent has been alot slower but all to inevitable I am enjoying Black Lightning but it is only in season two Is constantine getting another show? Rocket River
I didn’t even realize Flash started yesterday. Maybe I’ll wait until the mid season finale to binge watch all of them.
