    If you actually read the article, you would know that this backwards law has been recently repealed so that this won't happen again in the future. Not every country starts off first-world and progressive. Be thankful that you were born and raised in America, rather than casting aspersions and an air of superiority over a socially and economically struggling country.

    Native Americans came from America,

    they wouldn't want to live in a dump like Pakistan.

    I know plenty of Pakistanis, they don't want to go back to there, they'd rather live in Mexico.

    Let me rephrase. Now that this backwards law has been repealed, the prevalence of these acts will hopefully drastically reduce over the years, and when they do occur, they will be brought to justice. At least I hope.

    If I was given the choice between being a wealthy native of Mexico City vs. a wealthy native of Houston (neither of which I am), I would pick Mexico City, easily. One of the greatest, most underrated cities in the world.

    The real issue, as we see all over the muslim world, is the ideological struggle.

    The point is - it doesn't matter what the actual laws are in Pakistan - Islamic reasoning and mullahs ultimately affect the outcome and allow atrocities to occur time and time again.

    Pakistan isn't the only developing nation in the world - but it is the worst outside of subsaharan Africa due to it's inability to progress past archaic Islam based reasoning. Pakistani's would be best served to stop pointing the finger at everything around them (India, America, white men) and start discussing why Islam, the corruption of it, has become a roadblock to them moving forward.

    The actions of your community reflect who you are - that understanding is how developed nations came to be. Otherwise, passively letting these stories happen makes you a part of the problem.

    Western Pakistani's are not only in denial of issues crippling their country, but engage in false narratives of the rich living in a safe, sophisticated bubble of sophistication that has nothing to do with their immediate environment.

    Safety and societal issues aside, yeah, you'll have someone to mow your lawn and do your dishes. Big deal. But the stench of the death , complacency and radical Islam is always around the corner.

    You tell me where the problem with 21st century Islam is.

    I've actually never met a mullah or any prison guards for that matter in my life. Grew up an Ismaili Muslim and not a practicing one anymore. So really don't understand half the ass backwards crap you spew.

    As a born and raised American of Pakistani descent, I'm in no way condoning Pakistan for the relative safety it provides the affluent members of its society. Quite the opposite, actually. The inequality between social classes is a much bigger problem than "radical Islam" in Pakistan. Feudalism has plagued the country since it's existence and ensures that there is essentially no middle class.

    What did you suspect?

    I'm against using deliberate contempt of languages toward others based on their origin &
    the only thing i'm protecting is you! an offended Pakistani guy or any person for that matter would make you wish that you've relatives in Lahore to spend time away
