People who want to vote for Gary Johnson or Jill Stein should really watch this. The treasury department ended up making money on wall street bailouts.
Didn't watch but wanted to make a comment. Both Stein and Johnson are horrible candidates. I doubt they were ever serious in running.
Gary Johnson's policy aligns mostly with my views. Gary Johnson the person is f**cking weirdo and is not to be trusted.
Can John Oliver even vote? The guy always comes off as a snotty Brith who thinks he's above everybody else.
Don't worry, he's being put on a bus and taken to the polling nearest your house at the exact same time you're voting to cancel out your ballot.
Agreed, Evan McMullin's views are much closer to those of an orthodox Republican candidate. So if you're a Republican who thinks both mainstream candidates are intolerable, he's probably your guy.
None of the candidates are any good . Granted , Oliver seems to be harder on policies from these 3rd part candidates than the main 2 . I've not heard any substantial detail on policy from either Hillary or Donald . But frankly , as a 3rd party candidate you need to be head and shoulders above the other 2 to be legit . The problem isn't a lack of other political parties it's that there are political parties to begin with. The founders hated politics and parties . They were not able to control special interests and the human greed for power. Our government was amazing and revolutionary with its ideals at the time , but was by no means perfect and the din of politics is one of the main reasons . The only thing that can get us as a nation out of this conundrum is a highly educated and active electorate . The people have to take power back and in return have to invest more time in the government. Of course if the discourse becomes mudslinging then mob rule is a legitimate fear. The balance is so delicate and the world is complex . None of this is easy and at the same time some of it is pretty simple . Government at the local level should receive and demand far more attention .
Every third party candidate sounds somewhat reasonable on the broad issues, then they all go goofy on some things. Including RON PAUL! A candidate that could articulate a a cohesive philosophy could make a splash and a start we just haven't seen one yet. I still think a Christian Leftist position would be viable... environmentalist, humanitarian, single payer, pro-education, tolerance, humility... to appeal to the higher goals of civilization.
This statement makes no sense. If they are crap, they are crap. Nothing to do with power. To be clear. Trump is way worse then both 3rd party candidates.
