he was poor 90% of the game which is why they were down 23-9 and he's been poor most of the season which is why he's one of the lowest rated passers in the league.

Without his two starting offensive lineman (not including Mancz), his #2 receiver, and Stephen Anderson. He was forcing the ball to Hopkins but he looked better when he started looking to the other guys in the 4th quarter.

You're right. The defense and the running game in addition to Brock is the answer.

winning the worst division in the nfl only to get destroyed in the playoffs is not something to celebrate.

we did that last year and it felt empty.

It was actually a bit much how badly they were criticizing Brock on the broadcast.

The OL has been bad, O'Brien has been far from an offensive genius or guru, Will Fuller was out, and it's not his fault the Texans fo offered him that insane contract.

I think he can play average football.

Sure but it's still QB hell; something we can't seem to get out of no matter who is back there

    Lack of talent.

Reading defenses and throwing the ball accurately are innate abilities. You either have it or you don't.

Inconsistency. The ability is there, he has shown it. It's just not as often as it needs to be.

This is what the team paid for. Anyone that watched him in Denver knew this. He had some really good throws but overall the numbers say he was average. He needs the defense and the running game for him to be successful.

I'm not going to pretend like there aren't meaningful o-line problems at times, or that the Colts have a gangbuster defense.

But it does seem exceptionally obvious what the problem with the offense has been. Predictability. Whether that's on Brock, O'brien or both. Predictability in play-calling (easy to guess run vs. pass), predictability in snap count (can't recall seeing a quick snap... unless of course its 4th and 20 and you do a quick snap to hit a receiver at the line for 13 yards that are mostly useless!), predictability in pass targets. The last probably being the biggest one - as mentioned many times on the broadcast.

He started hitting other receivers and, AMAZING, the offense was better.

Maybe I'm oversimplifying it... but when the defense generally knows what you're doing, they've got a leg up.

Again, that said, o-line is an issue. And Brock throws even with that predictability is an issue (the Hopkins pick last night... was just a bad throw, though also probably a throw he shouldn't have attempted anyway... try looking at other guys).

The Texans also seem to need a little bit more diversity in their receiving core. They've lacked for years that speedy slot receiver. Fuller is blazing fast, but they don't seem to be utilizing him in that slot type role. What happened to Braxton Miller? Fuller and Miller could both be that slot guy, but it just doesn't seem to be a spot in the offense as of yet. They obviously have worked on adding in the TE. Strong has skills, but is certainly not a slot guy. Seems like packages of Hopkins, Miller, Fuller, CJ would be the best receiving options. But got to have one of those guys doing quick slot type stuff.

One has to assume they see this and are working on it...

So basically Osweiler yelling at him over the weekend worked.

This is such a myopic way of thinking. The lack of context is startling.
