If DMo would have just hired Trump's doctor from the beginning, the Detroit trade never would have been rescinded and all questions about his health would have been put to rest.

Interesting analogy. But let's get real. Why would somebody whose value is at rock bottom want to lock into the longest deal possible at that rock bottom price? Obvious. He doesn't think the chances of his value going up are any good once he plays. To me, anybody who values DMo based on 2014-15 performance is a fool. Even DMo doesn't believe in himself getting back there soon or even ever

You mean the doctor's note saying he's the healthiest person in the league? :D

I expect KJ and Dekker to both get minutes. I hear Dekker has made surprisingly rapid progress and the team is high on him. But they're high on KJ too.

Would you pay full price for a hotel room you have reason to believe might not exist? Would you pay full price for a "potential" hotel room? Or would you insist on first determining that the hotel room exists, after which you might pay full price and leave a very nice tip?

I'm not buying a car that's been in a bunch of accidents before I know it's drivable. If you tell me it wasn't drivable but now it is, I'd like to see for myself first please. Drive the car to me and let's take it out on the freeway and make sure it can handle that. If it can, I will buy your car for a very fair price.

I like DMO, but he hasn't gotten healthy for a while. That is a no, no for me. Is time to move on from him.

Actually, writing this post and thinking of it this way, I wonder if there's a way for D-Mo to show the team what he's got in order to get his price up where he wants it. Do the rules allow for him to practice with the team even if he hasn't signed yet?

I think a week or two of practices might move the needle in one direction or the other and put an end to all this. I also think it's probably not allowed for a RFA somehow. But if it is... Well, I think it would be a pretty great idea.

D-Mo would be gambling as he could get injured while practicing but if he wants to get his price up where he wants it, he has to show us something first.

All I've seen are the highlights from the games, but to me Dekker looks to ready to contribute on offense. He cuts well and introduces some dynamism into the offense. Reminds me of Parsons when we had him. Is it his defense that you're not impressed with? Or are the highlights painting an overly positive picture of Dekker?

We have four of them: Dekker, Wiltjer, Harrell, and Ariza

I hope you are kidding about Dekker he is far too slow and stiff to be effective on a consistent basis.

He is smart, but slow laterally and his handle is pretty meh.

Even if he is healthy and eventually signs this year, he'll come in out of shape and not have any chemistry with the team. It'll take him half the season to get caught up and then Murphy's law states that his back will get injured again. Just in time for the playoffs. No bird in hand is better than a useless bird.

No offense but it's 2016 and saying those kinds of things as slurs (like "he's so gay" when you mean "he's dumb" or bad or whatever) is a bit out of date as it's very understandably offensive to gay people, many of whom are members here.

I'm surprised. You usually really go for white guys that can shoot.

Are you kidding me??? I hear ppl say "That sucks" a million times a week. You are the first person I've ever observed protest that one. Insults are not supposed to be nice. You are basically advocating an insult-free world. Good luck with that.

He didn't say they sucked. He said they sucked cocks.

I'm not saying anything about "that sucks." I'm saying it about calling someone (a male) a "********er" as an insult. That is essentially saying "you're gay" is an insult. And that's not cool.

    Also, "his handle is meh?"

    1. He's playing at both forwards so he's not expected to handle the ball except around the basket.
    2. He's essentially a rookie.
    3. Against Memphis his hands were pretty nice around the basket as were Montrezl's.

That's the only game I've gotten to watch but I thought he looked great. I expect him to be in the rotation and contribute and I hope I'm right.

Actually that is a pretty amusing comment, I go for players that play a STYLE of basketball - nothing to do with skin color, I just like guys who back cut, and play smart ball.

Dekker is pretty good at that but his lack of footspeed is pretty damning.
