Deadpool - 8/10 They need to start making more R rated comic book movies. Deadpool is the only Marvel movies I've enjoyed in the past 5 years.
Birth of a Nation - Very Moving. Very well shot. It had its issues but definitely worth the watch 8.5/10 Rocket River
Magnificent 7 remake for the second time - a solid 8. Good blend of action and humor. One of the best western movie to come out since Open Range in my opinion.
Oh damn, you're right. I guess that just goes to show how much I'm into comic book movies, I'd forgotten all about that one.
Accountant was so good! 9.5/10 for me. My little brother has some autism and acts the same way as young Ben affleck in those flashback scenes. Really hit me in the feels
Saw Sicario recently and enjoyed it, but I still can't quite figure out Emily Blunt's role in the movie.
Popstar: Never Stop Stopping - 8/10 A very good true story documentary about the struggles of a pop star boy band. Opened my eyes on the entertainment business.
Add in a couple of mild plot twists at the end and we got ourselves a nice little movie. Curious to see if the movie does enough business to get a sequel.
I don't get the love for The Accountant. I thought it was boring and fell asleep. Granted, I was tired, but the plot was very bland and they tried to put too many plots together to make some huge mindblow but it fell flat. The humor was very tryhard and cringy and the action sparse. I'd give it a 5/10.
I watched Zootopia with my godson and I have to admit it was well made and very entertaining for a cartoon. 9/10
Look Who's Back A German movie in which Hitler wakes up on the modern day site of his bunker. He's the same age he was in 1945. People think he's a comedian/method actor who never breaks character and he becomes a sensation on the internet and TV. Parts of it are like Borat, with man-on-the-street interviews. It's funny, sometimes scary (the interviews), and a little bit too long for what it is. On Netflix. 7/10
Great movie Spoiler She was a sheep in a game of lions. CIA needed an FBI agent to cross into Mexico with them for it to be "legal" to get Benicio in, to do what he does.
Nerve - 6/10 I don't think I wasted my time. Surprisingly entertaining. 3rd act is garbage though. Dirty 30 - 7/10 This is a good movie considering it's written and starring a bunch of YouTubers. 13th - 9/10 Netflix documentary about the incarceration epidemic of the last few decades and how it has affected black and brown people disproportionately. It's a great movie for the people that don't understand why people are kneeling the anthem and protesting with Black Lives Matter.
