Because America loves seeing it's own image in the mirror? He does seem like a pretty likeable guy in an election year of unlikeable characters. Again though, with Trump as a nominee why would you be undecided for a nano-second?

I don't get it. Is it because he looks like the B-T-K killer? I understand he has a funny story about his suit...but is there anything else aside from that he looks like he just came from Mister Roger's neighborhood?

Shame on the media for going through a normal citizen's past. He's not running for office, nor is he a celebrity. He didn't ask for the fame, nor went into a profession/sport that is well-followed. Why are they smearing this guy? Despicable.
Is is really the "media" though? Or is it just regular people on Reddit who dug it up and then the media spread it. There's a difference.
What is the difference exactly? Modern media almost never does their own research in cases like this. They just say "as discussed on Clutchfans" or whatever. I think the criticism comes from them using their larger platform to try and get his comments to blow up. I saw some pretty out of context headlines of the "justified" thing.
Reddit is absolutely awful for this (as well as 4chan and other large internet communities). Bunch of no life bullies and stalkers on both who would absolutely do whatever it takes to ruin people's lives. Also a bunch of mentally ill people on there too that have unfortunately found a community of other likeminded mentally ill people to encourage them, i.e. there is a conspiracy subreddit, a flat earth subreddit, and of course the_donald subreddit.
