Why not Jimmy Graham? I feel like the Seattle/Atlanta game have shootout potential Edit: Whoops. Timing. Carry on.
Best advice I can give you on trades is to submit a bunch of offers that benefit both sides and see what you can get.
What's the opinion on Michael Thomas of NO? I picked him up to stash on my bench. Think he might turn out pretty good later in the season.
btw, just announced that it was a concussion for Reed, beginning official protocol. Said uncertain whether completed by Sunday, but I don't know of any protocol completed same week. My guess of week 10 is looking pretty likely now. Should I wait until Sunday t drop Dixon to make it harder on other owners to pick him up this week but risk the very outside chance someone adds him before, or better to simply drop now, get Clay now, and be done with it?
Guessing based on 2-4 week out for concussion protocol factoring its his history (4 or 5 concussions since joining the league, others while at college). WAS is on bye week 9. We're in week 6.
The Curse of Thursday Night Football continues to haunt me. Not only do I get minimal points from my one player in the game (no TDs, 80 yards running), but Melvin Gordon gets hurt. Great, I am already struggling to get one RB, and now I have to get two? Luckily, he returns, but at one point I was facing the loss of Jordan Reed and Melvin Gordon this week. Have I said I hate Thursday Night Football yet today? The Gore owner rejected my trade offer. He countered with his own trade offer back to me... his Cameron Artis Payne (he picked up off waivers this week) for my Tyrell Williams. *groan*. CAP has a good game Monday night, but with Stewart back CAP will share third down plays with Whitaker. I might as well add one of the Raider RBs. I rejected, and resubmitted a new trade with my Terrelle Pryor and Williams for Gore. If he rejects again I can bump it to Pryor and Shepard. And even add in the SEA DST that was originally his. After that tho I might start looking at other possibilities (McKinnon?).
Are either/both Terrance West or Jerick McKinnon reasonably good RB2 candidates? If so, which is better? Tough sledding on my first set of RB targets, need someone to cover bye weeks 9 and 11. Bilal Powell would have been a good target but is on bye one of the weeks. Any other comparable targets? btw, I currently have Kenneth Dixon is that boosts West's value. Thanks!!
Already shot down by West owner, still to hear from McKinnon owner. new question... better third RB to have on my roster to cover me on weeks 9 and 11 (bye weeks for Miller and Gordon): Spencer Ware (currently on my roster) or Matt Asiata (free agent, I'd drop Ware for Asiata)? I'd still work trades to improve this, but need someone as a "worst case start" those weeks. And, would Latavius Murray be a better RB (as of week 9, hoping turf toe fully healed by then)?
I kind of view Latavius Murray like I view Eddie Lacy. If they would actually commit feeding him, he'd be a stud RB1, but for various reasons it usually ends up in disappointment. Both offenses are more comfortable throwing the ball in the red zone.
Being offered Lamar Miller and Mike Wallace for my Jeremy Hill and Julian Edelman. Seems somewhat fair but I'm not sure.
For some reason I've been able to get Corey Coleman off waivers in nearly every league I'm in. Could be a 2nd half of the season league winner if McCown is able to return as well.
Interesting and good fortune for you. With all the hype lately about Pryor, Crowder, Kerley, Meredith, Hogan and Coates I suspect people forgot about Coleman as the #1 or 2 receiver (behind Norman if he came back). In our league the owner simply held on. Getting value from himin the second half is like finding money.
Weird how what was an all-pro level runner seems to have been cast aside. Not a Raider fan so don't know the inside story, but it seems more than just the turf toe injury. As it turns out, the undefeated / first place owner I am playing this week (really smart moves all season) must have been watching him too with the same thinking and got up at 2am (when waiver holds opened up; he also upgraded his DST this AM from GB to PIT, increasing his projected score even more) to add him (damn!). So that question is now moot. And being a smart guy, he drops Ajayi, who is at best a placeholder for when Foster gets injured again. I guess I can either hold onto Ware with hope Charles goes down. Or settle for Asiata (seems a minimal yardage but possible TD a game guy), or or add Washington (DET) or one of the two OAK RBs, or gamble on Dion Lewis returns soon enough, or hope someone else drops someone of value. I will keep pushing for a trade, hoping the Gore owner agrees after Riddick and Lacy are fully healed and White's production rises. McKinnon owner turned me down, West owner turned me down, and the Martin/Charles owner never responds to any trade offer or message. Or maybe try to trade one of my premium WRs (Fitzgerald or Hilton) for a better RB (the other Murray or Stewart)? Had to drop Kenneth Dixon (RB stash) to get Charles Clay as my TE (replace Reed). Its going to suck losing point production at that position. Ware is my other stash. Thoughts on Derrick Henry... he might be available via trade?
I'm still holding Henry shares but it's getting harder. He's just too damn valuable if Murray gets hurt.
Thanks. I can offer a small trade (Tyrell Williams for Henry) to owner to see if that flies. Important question: Should I hold Ware or drop Ware and add Dion Lewis? Holding Ware means hoping he continues to have production as Charles takes over or with hope Charles falters or gets injured, Adding Lewis means hoping he starts practice next week and plays by week 9? Never mind, I just realized Lewis on bye week 9, so while he would be a good possibility for my week 11 Gordon bye, or just a good end of season add, he doesn't solve my immediate need. Last question: thoughts on trading Fitzgerald or Hilton for DeMarco Murray?
Need advice on new trade ideas... since getting the upper mid level RBs isn't working... what about me going to the Christine Michael owner and offering Larry Fitzgerald+Sterling Shepard+Tyrell Williams to CMike? I use the two extra roster spots for Dion Lewis and Dante Moncreif (both currently injured and on waivers). If the Cmike owner doesn't like that package, I go to the McCoy owner, and the DeMarco Murray owner. If I can get it done quickly enough to also get Moncrief, I go a long ways to replacing what I gave up. Would something like this work?
Dude I mean really you should just relax and enjoy the game Don't sweat it too much. Just let the chips fall where they may and trust the moves you made.
