RANKING ALL 32 NFL QUARTERBACKS ENTERING WEEK 6

    29. Brock Osweiler, Houston Texans

    2015 grade: 75.5

    2016 grade: 45.0

After a promising opener against Chicago, new Houston QB Brock Osweiler has struggled mightily in recent weeks. He’s always been streaky, and we saw that numerous times last season, but this slump has Osweiler ranking fourth in turnover-worthy throws and grading poorly across the board. He does, however, rank seventh in big-time throws, and that’s one of the issues when watching the Texans’ quarterback. Whether it’s dropping a deep ball in the bucket on the outside or leading a tight end away from coverage up the seam, Osweiler will flash potential on handful of plays—before following it up with disastrous throws into coverage. His seven interceptions are no fluke, and Osweiler has to play with more control within the system in order to succeed.

Im getting nervous about this game...it will really tell us where we are as a team. If we struggle to put up 20 while allowing 25+...some changes need to be made.

Im not sure if I trust the coaching staff to game plan effectively here.

Agreed. Ridiculous hot take week has been bad enough, I can't imagine how much worse it would get with a bad showing this week. At least then it would be a lot more justifiable

I havent hopped on the hot take train yet, but Brock needs to shine this week and L. Miller needs to have some breakout, 100+yd and at least 1 TD.

I'm beyond nervous about this game. We should be able to score a lot of points. But they will score a bunch to especially against our depleted secondary.

I believe Brock will have an OK game because the Colts defense is not good. But then again happy feet might be overwhelmed with how important this game is to us.

Not to go full on negative, but I just have a feeling we are going to lose this game. I'm not 100% on where the issues with this team are, but I'm leaning with it being on the coaching. Hopefully they prove me wrong this week.

I wonder what it would take to trade Oz for Stafford or Rivers.

Whatever pictures Rick Smith has of McNair, we need the same of the Chargers and Lions owners

I look at the chargers and lions and even the falcons; and I'm reminded that getting that franchise QB doesn't guarantee a whole lot. All three teams have had A LOT of years to build around their QBs but still haven't accomplished a whole lot. They've also had multiple head coaches. I think a really good coach is more important than a really good QB. Also a good GM to collect talent all over the field. I'm not delusional to think that a good QB will not help (I would love to see Rivers on the Texans) but teams have been successful with average QB play. If all the pieces of this team play above average, we will see less of Brock to complain about.

Steve McNair wouldn't be an NFL caliber QB today....so hopefully the only thing this kid has in common with him is being black....which is the only thing you care about. Seriously though, the shtick is getting old.

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...ight-clubs-scouting-deshone-kizer-vs-stanford

Every week during the college football season, NFL clubs deploy scouts to campuses all over the country to make in-person evaluations on draft prospects. Naturally, the bigger games featuring more top prospects tend to draw larger contingents of scouts. Each week, College Football 24/7 brings you a look at the teams credentialed to attend three of the biggest games in college football.

    Stanford at Notre Dame

8 clubs attending: Cleveland Browns,Denver Broncos, Houston Texans,Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Rams, Minnesota Vikings, New York Jets, Oakland Raiders.
Details: Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7:30 p.m. ET (NBC)
Three top players: Stanford (RB Christian McCaffrey, DE Solomon Thomas, LB Peter Kalambayi); Notre Dame ( QB DeShone Kizer, OT Mike McGlinchey, DE Isaac Rochell).
Matchup to watch: Stanford DE Solomon Thomas vs. Notre Dame OT Mike McGlinchey. Scouts will get a chance to see McGlinchey protect Kizer against a smaller, quicker pass rusher in Solomon. Conversely, how will Thomas, at 256 pounds, hold up against the run when he's being blocked by the 310-pound McGlinchey?

looks like the texans are giving in and will pull the trigger to try and trade up for kizer when the draft rolls around

Because they couldn't possibly be scouting McGlinchey, who may be the first lineman off the board, and will happen to be slotted somewhere near where we're picking, and is a position of need?

    Lol, you're an idiot.

Damn I wish it was Kizer but not realistic with Oz's contract. I would love McCaffrey but not sure what his NFL ceiling will be
