    Point Of Order.

People really need to stop overusing and/or misusing the term "analytics".

    Brown - $9.65MM
    Joseph - $7MM
    Cushing - $5.35MM
    Bergstrom - $2.875MM
    Clark - $2.75MM
    Weeden - $2.15MM
    XSF - $1.18MM

I would guess, realistically, that Cushing, Joseph, Bergstrom, Weeden and XSF will be gone (or restructured). That's $18.6MM + the already available $10MM. And they'll have an opportunity to renegotiate down Hopkins' '17 cap hit (currently $7.92MM).

    They're fine.

    That's really not much.

Joseph has been a very important player. We gonna go with KJax or KJohn on the other teams' best receiver?

    Cushing I agree on.

The rest of the guys barely cost anything but will still have to be replaced somehow.

The other thing is we aren't a very good team. Bad teams need high picks or a lot (not just an average amount) of cap room to get better.

The point is... their situation isn't so dire as to scare away potential head coaches, as you initially claimed. Nor does that constitute " limited flexibility" to get better.

Yes; replacing Joseph with Johnson is exactly what you claim they don't have the personnel to pull off.

"Bad" teams have high draft picks. But most people don't think teams that are 21-16 are "bad."

Nobody under the Belichick coaching tree should ever be hired as a NFL HC.

Not sure what I want to fire him more for, destroying the offensive line or destroying our salary cap flexibility.

BOB reminds me quite a bit of Kubiak; smart and capable, he seems to grow incrementally but needs to be better about getting out of his own way sometimes.

I'll never (fully) forgive Kubiak for not building a defensive infrastructure and if BOB's complex, Brady-fueled system is what's causing this offense to sputter and spit and derailing Osweiler, and he doesn't drastically adjust to his QB's strenghts, that'll be his Smith/Bush moment for me.

He did make those adjustments last year... partly due to necessity with Yates taking over (the Jets game was probably some of the best coaching he's done in his entire tenure here). Like you, I expect improvement as the year goes on... and if it doesn't happen, all parties (BOB, Brock, Godsey) should be held accountable.

The other factor at play right now is the O-line being garbage. It literally hasn't been this bad since the expansion years. Poor run blocking, allowing defenders to blow by with base-rush defense. Something tells me Martin would have been a huge addition.

"Back to back 9-7 seasons" = "VY just wins"

Use some item level analysis and you'll quickly see that Bill O'Brien's coaching resume is sub-par (at best).

Odds are against the AFC South continuing to be hot dog crap; and if you're willing to wait for the competition in the NFL as a whole to come down to BOB's level you'll be waiting a very long time.

Just for reference, our coaching staff is super inexperienced compared to the rest of the NFL

Patriots coaching staff has 193 years of experience.
The Chiefs have 219 years of experience.
The Falcons have 156 years of experience.
The Colts staff has 140 years of experience.
BOB's staff has 32 years of experience without RAC

You should give the numbers with the oldest coach on all of those teams taken off as well since you did that for the Texans.

With RAC added back on, it's still 67 years of experience
