Harden's been the man since he got here. He had to be a scorer 'first' given the personnel. We actually have shooters and an offensive system now where he can play his game. Sure he likes his shots but I've observed more often than not that he likes to set his guys up then get his if it's not there. I think mchale sounds a bit salty.

McHale is basically saying Harden needs to play some f****** defense and stop making excuses about offensive workload!

I think it's abbot simplistic to say it's the same.

If you bring up the ball just as often, but are asked to pass twice as much, how similar is your role? Disregarding the whole pg/sg debacle.

I think he's right to say that Harden will always primarily be an elite scorer, but he can be taught to improve passing/movement/defense without expecting him to become elite at any of those things.

because harden probably gets him fired so he had to go to the ball got sticky card without saying who it was, and with people not wanting to acknowledge who that sticky man was.

Les reacted emotionally last year with his quick firing, but he was right on the main point...

Harden definitely was part of the reason Mchale to get that extension based on team success.

So even if fired, if he is still getting paid, then Mchale should be praising Harden every media chance he gets.

Thats why I like JVG because u know that he is a Rox die hard.

    Baloney.

Money is an exchange for work. No one owes anyone anything for just money. McHale is getting paid because we and he agreed to a contract that said he would get paid if fired. He doesn't have to provide anything in return for that money.

What JVG does is out of actual fandom, has nothing to do with money.

It's going to come down to interior defense. If the Rockets can force teams to be perimeter teams (and do that by giving up wide open shots) they have a shot at being good. It's a big if.

Is he really passing more, or do we just have big men willing to roll to the basket (instead of demanding post ups) and shooters that can actually hit shots?

Wasn't there a stat about how his passes led to more open 3s than anyone else in the league? Placing good shooters in the lineup would only naturally bump up his assists.
