A congress that bloaks every initiative of the President then you turn around and complain about nothing being done. There are problems in this country, and Trump will change those problems for the worse.
You are right, a lot of people DO want those things. I think a lot more people don't want those things and I think that extends to real conservatives. Right now Obama has a 55% approval rating btw, I don't think people are depserate enough for change to vote in what looks like a fascist leader that has openly said that he's going after libel laws and has intentions to throw political opponents in jail. I don't think a majority of people appreciate his stance against Mexicans and Muslims. I don't think people appreciate his feelings on women. Sure a lot of people are all for Trump...but to say that he's the candidate for GOOD change...man I don't see how you can say that. Do you really think there should be Nuclear Weapons for anyone? Trump sure thinks so. That's change for the better?

Those weren't things people were complaining about until the election. Reality is different. Immigration isn't a problem. Refugees undergo an intense 2 years vetting before being allowed in - what more can you do to vet them? Less cops are shot today than in the past - why is it a problem now and not all the years for the past few decades??? You are buying into the spin my friend. The Alt-right spin.

I do apologize then for saying that you are for his policies. You are right though that he does have a base, a core, and that people do want his change. I was just arguing how insane some of his ideas truly are and for me this whole bit about libel laws and his special prosecutor for Hillary are terrifying more than anything else. I guess going for his base is his only chance, I'd agree with that. I think he's burned too many bridges among the demographics to ever expand that base now so you are probably right there.

You've got one source, the Luntz focus group, claiming a Trump victory? That all you got? And let's both do ourselves a favor here and not bother with any non-scientific polling. No it's because people were angry that Republicans were compromising and Trump played on fears of immigrants. Let's also acknowledge that Trump's policies are the failed one of Bush - he wants to cut taxes for the rich, and spend spend spend on military. I am part of middle America and know just as many Republicans as Democrats and it wasn't them who voted for Trump - it was those tea party morons who did it.

In 32 states you can buy a gun and have it shipped to your home in that state without a background check. Loophole. It's a loophole because the intent wasn't to only have background checks on intrastate sales from brick and mortar stores.
