So much went wrong again today. 1st Vikings drive wouldn't have never happened if Clowney doesn't get a penalty. He helped extend that drive, resulting in a touchdown. Texans 1st drive was yet another 3 and out. Bill O'Brien's play calling was very predictable. These drives pretty much told me how the game would play out. Bad play calling Horrific offensive line play. No running game Receivers not getting open Defense was bad granted we had players out. Special teams wow This was just another typical Texans outing against a stout teams. They just don't have the heart or pride to compete against teams like this. Brock was terrible
Vikings are great and we are not is all I can take from this game. But I still think we're a decent team.
That's how I see it too. The Texans aren't on the level of the Vikings or Patriots, but that doesn't mean they are "mediocre" or that we should light the curtains on fire or jump off bridges. It is what it is, the overreaction now is that the Texans are terrible and the overreaction next week will probably be that they are winning the superb owl.
Great. That applies to the days before they become a free agent. Maybe the rules should change. That doesn't mean they couldn't have met with him on the first day of free agency.
LB Brian Peters kicked off 2/3 times for the Texans today instead of kicker Nick Novak. Head coach Bill O'Brien said he was just "a change up," and thought the move was successful. "He had done a nice job with that during the practices leading up to this game," O'Brien said. "And actually, that kick worked out pretty well. I think we tackled them inside the 20-yard line. He's got a very strong leg. So sometimes we want to do that...we think it gives us a good chance to cover the kick." ______ QB Brock Osweiler said his pass intended for Jaelen Strong that was intercepted in the third quarter was a matter of not being on the same page. "I did not read it wrong," Osweiler said. "I saw the exact coverage that they were playing. I knew exactly where I wanted to go with that football. I think that just comes down to the meeting tomorrow, just making sure everyone is on the same page."
Obviously you do because you keep replying to me. Sorry I can't be a Homer forever when the home team plays like crap. We all process this differently. Watch Dallas to understand that the Texans will never have a good offense until they address the offensive line.
They've invested some high round picks on the line. Players either got hurt or haven't lived up to their drafted position. Lines are built through the draft. I feel they know this.
I wonder how differently things would look right now if Nick Martin hadn't gotten hurt. By all reports he was looking very good before his injury. Of course that wouldn't fix everything, but it would help.
So basically we need to stink up the joint so we could draft a offensive linemen in the 1st round every year. Dude we've addressed our offensive line woes. Unfortunately we have too many of them injured or just coming off a major injury.
If I were the texans I'd be inquiring if phillip rivers is available. I image, a first round pick might get it done.
OR if Brown would have been healthy to start the season. Or if Newton wouldn't have gotten hurt in the preseason. Or if Allen wouldn't be nursing an injury. Man our luck is not good.
