Boobythehomer I've been watching all these years and we keeping getting the same result. This team is just as hard to watch as when Kubiak was coaching. I'll probably be dead when this team wins the bowl. Not going to waste my time on something PROVEN to be unreliable!
Brock Osweiler 184 yards 1 TD 1 interception 56.1 QB rating Cam Newton 262 yards 0 TD 3 interceptions 47.6 QB rating Aaron Rodgers 213 yards 1 TD 1 interception 70.7 QB rating 3 fumbles Eli Manning 261 yards 0 TD 1 interception 63.3 QB rating Which of those guys should Brock be better than?
the ways a lot of teams play offense, get rid of the ball quickly, is it wise to give an 8 yard cushion. Back then as back as 2005, that was smart, since you can still punch the receiver past those first 5 yards. We've played like that under richard smith, Frank bush, rock star wade phillips and Romeo.
On one of those chances, the WR was tackled in the end zone without a flag, on the other, they scored a TD. Given the secondary the Texans were up against and the complete lack of blocking by the O line, it could have been MUCH MUCH worse.....you know, like it was for Cam Newton
So....by all means stop watching, stop wasting your time then. I'm not sure why you'd think anyone else would care about that decision.
Careful bud, you're setting yourself up for massive failure and disappointment using this logic if Brock doesn't do better than Hoyer's 33/43 397 and 2 TDs next week. Yikes, and it's on primetime.
There's pretty much a zero percent chance Brock puts up those numbers...but it will be Nuke's and Fuller's fault
Have a hard time believing this team will go anywhere with this ownership group. Leadership starts at the top and trickles down. Kubiak JUST won a Super Bowl post Texans. Does anyone doubt that Obrien wouldnt be more successful post Texans? I can't imagine both Kubiak and Obrien haven't wondered about the dynamics within the organization and whether or not their conducive to success. Didn't Bill say that he hadn't really watched much of Brock before the deal was made?
I know using logic in this forum is often a recipe for controversy but it's just what I do. If The Texans are held to 23 points next week like the Bears were, then I'll absolutely be disappointed. They are the worst defense in the NFL, those 23 points were the 2nd fewest scored on the Colts all season long.
Same crap every year. wet the bed against elite oppositions. Can get many talented players as you can but if the execution is garbage and timid, it will be a blood bath.
They didn't even interview Brock. I remember Kubiak spent a lot of time researching and talking to Schaub before doing that trade. I remember them even going out for a golf outing and just talking football, basically an extended interview. And I agree it's how McNair has set up the organization. No one knows what Rick really does...the coach is in charge of personnel but tries to blame the GM sometimes...everyone ends up making short term moves to stay in their jobs.
There wasn't a complete lack of blocking... lack of accuracy is more like it. Panthers kept that game much closer despite more TOs and Diggs playing.
I'm not sure what game you watched, but the O line got worked almost the entire game. It was noteworthy the few times they kept a clean pocket. As to the Panthers, sure they kept it closer, their defense played a LOT better than the Texans defense was today. Hell the Panthers only allowed 13 Vikings first downs in the entire game, the Texans allowed 9 Vikings first downs in the first quarter.
