Sorry I wanna give you a reason to tear up. Here goes:

Conservative Republicans will never hold the high office again. The demographics of this country have tipped and the genie is out of the bottle. The millennial population is now the largest generation supplanting baby boomers and they are demographically less white, and more liberal to boot. In 4 years the greatest generation will be dead.

The time has come to the GOP to come cater to us minorities. If they treat us brown folk like they did this year they will never hold office based on the numbers alone.

Btw, the GOP should have had closed primaries since the poor uneducated democrats are who voting Trump in the primaries. That and your lack of Super delegates.

Trump already doesn't have the minority or women's vote. He is exclusively trying to win the election via the Male White vote which I don't even know is possible. So I don't think this news hurts his target demographic.

This is "the" definition of a strawman argument. Not going to bother beyond mentioning that and this.
I'm confused, is she a Trumpette? And why does it seem so many women (as in the case of Roger Ailes) stay in a position of being "assaulted" while not saying anything about it nor leaving that position.

Interesting that so many more "conservatives" sorta shrug this off as a "guys being guys". This is 2005, a 59 year old man who is in television talking to a member of the entertainment media and is not aware enough that something he said was being caught on tape? This was not in a lockerroom. And not two 18 year olds bragging about real and imagined conquests.

If this surprises you about Donald Trump and is such a big deal then you must not be too good at reading people.

If you think Pence is a 2020 option, you're delusional. A choice like that would continue to ignore the shifting demographics of this country and he has the stink of Trump on him. He agreed to be this monster's VP, nobody forced him to do this. Like Ryan, McConnell, Preibus, etc. he deserves to have a scarlet "T" sewn onto his lapel for the rest of his political career. Like the rest of them, they bowed down to their Frankenstein.

So, actually, he'd be a perfect GOP candidate in 2020.

I don't see what the big deal is, Trump was just trying to mentor young Billy Bush. Everyone knows that Trump has no talent when it comes to business, no charisma, and he looks creepy as hell but despite all of that he's had several hot wives and has lived a life of privilege. What he was saying was a metaphor for how to approach life. He was telling little Billy Bush that all a person needs in this life is a "Grab life by the p***y" attitude along with a massive inheritance and they can overcome just about any shortcoming as a person. I, for one, was incredibly motivated by this story.

Just kidding, Trump is a terrible person.

No, this actually makes it easier for him to publicly stand by Trump. Preibus already threatened to enforce the pledge against any primary opponents, Ryan is still just a rep and gets his biennials from the same till.

Trump's behavior doesn't surprise me. What surprises me are the "well, all guys do this". I am surprised at the way people excuse him for his behavior. I can only attribute it to partisanship... and yes, I think its a big deal when a leading candidate for the highest position in the world is guilty of doing this.

I don't think anyone is excusing it. I think it is very clear that if you hung out with men, and just men in a setting for an extended period of time you will hear something inappropriate. I think that is pretty clear.

I think Donald Trump's best play at this point is greeting Hillary by grabbing her by the p***y

    That's so alpha

I've never heard anyone admit to me they groped women without permission and that includes my four years as a grunt in the Marine Corps.

I think its funny when someone says "I don't think anyone is excusing it" and then promptly attempts to excuse it.

It wasn't something simply "inappropriate." It was beyond offensive, bordering on the discussion (bragging about) past assaults. It wasn't "just a bunch of men hanging around" it was a 59 year old television personality talking with a member of the entertainment media. And I don't know about the men you hang around with, but I know I don't hang around men talking about assaulting women (married or otherwise).

Wonderful. And that is great and all, but you are missing the point completely.

I've heard people talk like that before.....and I thought the same of them that I think about Trump, they were total scumbags that I didn't want to associate myself with in any way.

There's absolutely no excuse for that kind of behavior and it's a massive embarrassment to the GOP and the country as a whole to have a POS like that as a major party nominee for president.

It IS a big deal though. Sure everyone should have known what kind of absolutely terrible person Trump is before this so it really shouldn't come as a surprise, but the man is a major party nominee for president....it's a big deal to see him on film bragging about sexual assault and general douchebaggery.

Honestly there's no way the GOP can even pretend to have any credibility if they don't remove Trump as their nominee after this. It's that kind of big deal.

We're not talking about Trump the reality tv bozo, we're talking about a guy who's in contention to be the most powerful person on earth. His character and judgement are kind of a big deal (although this is just example #1438 of why he's lacking).
