You don't know that - none of us know that.

So much drama - let's just see how it plays out, this is all negotiating and tactics.....he has chosen to hold out, I wouldn't have, but no one knows what is on the table from the Rockets RIGHT now.....

So, he may be trying to leverage that up a bit....it might work, it might now.

@BatmanJones - my oldest was in a play tonight called "The Giver" it was really great - I have seen all his high school plays and they are ok, but this one was great.....

I don't know that play but good for your kid. If you're ever in Houston and we have a play on reach out to me so I can take care of your tickets and buy your first beer. That offer's good for all Clutchfans with the exception of one special show I think you're all going to want to see. For that one show, you can all get pay-what-you-can tickets, which we offer for each and every performance.

The proud dad look suits you, DaDa. Congratulations to your eldest.

Cool stuff. I guess he meant the Asik who was willing to come off the bench.
It must have been Nov. He asked to be traded around Nov 14th...surprisingly quickly after losing his promised starting role. His last start with Howard was 11/11 and he got 4 pouting minutes on the 13th, then DNPs on the 14th and 16th.

He meant the Asik that was a diamond in the rough.

It's a weird argument that simply because a deal hasn't been done yet that means that all 30 GM's don't value DMo. Again, Tristan Thompson didn't sign till the 22nd of October, did that mean that anyone who suggested that he had plenty to offer a team thought that they knew better than 30 GM's?

0 out of 29 other GM's offered Thompson more than the 6.8 mil QO that Cleveland offered him.....and then he got an 82 million dollar contract. Did that mean that a few weeks before he signed the 82 million dollar contract that he was only worth 6.8 million? That's sort of what you are suggesting about DMo.

I would assume he's still in Vancouver.

Again, it was public knowledge in early July that Cleveland was offering Tristan 5yrs at $80m and he was asking for the Max.

That scenario has zero comparison to DMo. It's like ppl forget how that played out and now latch onto some false comparison because they share one thing in common...they let the QO expire. Well actually they will soon share two. Neither hold out worked. They both signed for what the GM offered from the beginning

But of course, that happened to Landry too.

This is the Tristan Thompson story. No resemblance to DMo at all. Quit comparing them. Cleveland's July offer pretty much told everyone to not bother, unless they were going to do a max, 5yr deal....which Cle was still probably going to match.

    ---------------------------------------
With a week to go until the start of training camp ... the Cavs have held firm at an offer of five years and $80 million, with Thompson looking for a max contract of $94 million over the same span, sources said. The talks have been at a virtual standstill since early July, and there isn't much optimism on either side.

You two are something, please go ahead, spend your money while Leslie Alexander has been owing fans money.

The way he fires and hires mediocre coaches, pay for mediocre talent.

It would be pretty stupid to play in the olympics and blow out a knee. Backs are not the only thing that get injured. You don't take chances on a multi million dollar contract.

So 48 pages in, what is the score of DMoF vs DMoH?

Personally, I just want this to end ASAP. I'm tired of this thread. I keep checking back hoping there is an update on his situation but it is the usual bickering from the two parties.

Truth is, we won't know if DMO will be missed until we play a team with good bigs. So far we haven't and we haven't missed DMO.

I know this, when we play Memphis we will know. If DMO really isn't in the plans then Harrell or Wiltjer needs more PT (my vote is Wiltjer). But I also believe that no DMO deal soon will mean a S&T for another big and/or wing. Not a fan of Prigs or Ennis. I like GPII's defense.

DMo is a restricted FA. There is no reason for another team to sign him. If he signs for a fair deal, Rockets match as salary doesn't matter to to Rockets at this point for a fair deal. If they overpay him, they are stuck with an overly large contract. Best thing other teams can do for themselves is not sign him so DMo misses training camp. Restricted free agency sucks for the player, and DMo was likely stupid for not signing the QO. Rockets just are not competing in a free market with the other GMs.

Rockets Front Office has DMo by the balls...even more so now that the QO has been withdrawn. DMo will likely get something around 4.4 million in RFA, but that should not be construed that he has the value of 4.4 million on true free agency if the Rockets were truly competing with every other GM on an even playing field. Rockets coaching staff keeps openly saying they want DMo. I doubt they do that for the typical <5M player.

The longer this drags out the more I think he is just gonna sign to play in Europe. Rockets can't match that.

Haha, so much this. People forget about it because it doesn't fit the narrative of DMo not being broken.

Hey Dallas could have signed DMo for Max but I think they learned their lesson after Parsons about damaged goods from Houston. They chose rfa Barnes this time.

Hopefully he signs and gets played enough to either be worth the QO and contribute or does enough for people to see he's not this superstar. But.... Hey if he comes out and is great then pay him, but Morey already has enough "what if players" signed atm.

How would we know if he's missed? I mean since he's been missing for like a year or more since 14/15....
