Really hoping FSU v U isn't postponed/cancelled due to the storm...Miami's chance to prove they belong in Top 15.
I'm hoping that the storm is essentially past Miami by Saturday - forecast calling for clear skies. As long as FSU was able to make it in before weather turned this afternoon, I don't see them cancelling it beforehand.
As an Aggie who has followed this team since 90's, I definitely can see it happening. That said, let's hope it doesn't. Gig'em
Tennessee looks really bad at times, but we don't know if TAMU can play from behind yet, and Sumlin has been unspectacular at Kyle Field.
True. It'll be interesting enough, in my opinion. Maybe something like 30-20, but I just don't think Tennessee has the edge on either side of the ball. Jalen Hurd being out for Tennessee also greatly hurts them.
Believe so. I was under the impression that him not playing against South Carolina was largely to heal up for Tennessee.
Year 8 for Mullen at State. Surprised he didn't leave after 2014 or 2015. I don't think he'll be fired, although they will have a new AD coming in.
A Maryland player just drilled the famous Penn State kicker (who flopped) and was thrown out of the game.
Has anyone heard from Uprising? Kinda hoping he's doing something other than watching their sh!tshow vs. Kansas.
I think he probably tried. His name came up a decent amount over the last couple of offseasons, but he was just never a marquee candidate for the big jobs. And, frankly, if he was going to try to beat the posse and skip town to make a lateral move or a slight downgrade, it might be better to get fired and do that. That way, he'd get some sort of settlement, perhaps be able to take a year off to recharge, and then I think he would be a pretty desirable candidate for a lot of programs at a similar level to MSU, given what he has accomplished. Also, just for the record, I think MSU would be crazy to fire Mullen. This is a classic case of a program getting bored with a really successful coach and making a false (in my opinion) assumption that what he has accomplished is the new normal and that someone else will be able to come in and seamlessly take the team to the next level.
