If Brock plays poorly, it will be Nuk's fault. Clowney will have a great game, if not, it's because he was quadruple teamed and/or the refs. If we lose by 30 points, no biggie..... it's non-conference.
The Vikings will be the best team the Texans will have played so far. Not expecting a win against a top 3 defense. Even if the Texans are able to slow Bradford down, this is the type of game I can see Minnesota winning 12-3 or something. Their defense is good enough to hold the Texans without a TD.
One thing I will note. The Packers and Panthers exposed the Vikings deep multiple times in their games. I think we have a guy who could do that.
They have physical DBs that could get in the head of the Texans receivers. That might be extra motivation for Hopkins; not sure about Fuller. I think the Texans HAVE to force turnovers. The Vikings have been good at not turning over but the Texans are good at forcing them.
That is the worst ranking I've ever seen. It is clear that ESPN FPI is a joke. This is a tough game no doubt. My brain tells me 17-10 Vikings but my heart tells me 16-13 Texans.
This should be a tough game. The Vikings defense will be the best the Texans have faced this season and now the Vikings finally have a franchise QB. Everyone will have to be playing their best for the Texans to have a chance.
Sure... but you need to have protection up front that holds down the rush long enough for those routes to develop. Even last night, they were letting the Giants WR's break free deep, but they did a good job of taking away the short/intermediate routes. We know Eli has an arm, and they have talented WR's... and yet they couldn't go deep often because of how good the Viking's front is. One thing they were exposed/vulnerable to were screen passes... whether its Miler or Fuller, Texans need to go to that early and see what they can get (before the Vikings adjust).
I'm still flabbergasted that the Texans have ZERO rushing TDs through 4 games. That's unreal. We've been in the red zone SEVERAL times in the last month.....for Lamar Miller not to punch even just ONE in is mind-boggling. That absolutely needs to change this week, even though it will be the toughest defense we've faced and (outside of Denver) probably will face all year.
I'm expecting a loss. I won't be able to watch this game, as I'll be on vacation. I will probably check the score, though. Vikings 24 Texans 14
Going to be tough on the offense but if we can limit our turnovers, we will be alright. Texans 21 Vikings 17
