This has to be a joke, right? Charlie is a Houston institution and literally the only sports talk host I listen to.
Charlie was the most knowledgeable 790 personality. I would tune in to 790 just to hear his takes. Now they're left with muppets like Lance Zierlein and Josh McInnes. YAWN
I'm not a Charlie fan by any means, but any station that would willingly give Josh Innes a job is pathetic. The guy is a scumbag and an idiot. I think I will need to abandon the station as well
Charlie has been 790 forever. His ratings were bad, but they had been bad for while, but they kept him. Looks like he is gone: Looking at his Pallilog: http://sports790.iheart.com/onair/the-pallilog-1133/charlies-pallilog-15164892/ At the bottom it says: Talk with you 3-7. cp@sports790.com I guess that is a cold way to fire someone. Guess he didn't know.
How does he keep getting these jobs? No one likes him......never heard 1 good thing about him on the radio.
Wait...they've benched Charlie Pallillo for that fat f***? I guess I'll be sticking to 610 unless Astros or Rockets are on. Otherwise, f*** 790.
Must be a very very quick deal bc CP's blog from today, only 2hrs ago, was posted on ST790 web site. W.T.F?
Charlie P, Mr. Trivial, has only himself to blame. He's always comes off as angry and annoyed and he cares about things that only he cares about. He'll go on and on about the most ridiculous minutia that no one gives a f$#! about. And his voice, constant intonation, slow pause filled cadence, isn't great. In summary, the trivial, exhausting, without a great voice and a below average speaker probably shouldn't be in local sports radio. Innes is cancer. I barely listen to sports radio anymore (not in car as much) but when I do I'll go back to 610. Anyone who hires Innes has questionable judgement and I won't be complicit.
The one guy who actually knew all sports and had a wealth of information got canned. Now all they have left is a comedian (Matt Thomas), a know nothing about sports (Lance Zeirlein) and a racist (Josh) as well as a lackey in Clanton.
The Reverend has returned. Glad I can finally post about it, it's been in the makings for quite some time. The Charlie portion was news to me though, figured he was taking Sean Jones' spot with Adam.
