Great start to the game...faded for a bit. Lots of work needs to be done....crazy how bad the rest of the division is. BTW.....thanks Andre.
weren't these titans being promoted as the afc champs this season even after week 2? that defense was considered to be a good one.
AFC South is all looking like some scrubs...just some worse than others.....just hoping we're the one to step it up. .......injuries suck.
also, I'm not the type of guy that wants bad things to happen to his home team, but when the texans lined up with the hail mary defense, a part of me wanted Marioto to throw an 80 yard td strike. 3-1! the negative nancies had us at 1-3 to start the first 4 games. Our Tackles have to like actually block those edge rushers.
Hopefully we'll get Duane Brown, Braxton Miller, and Stephen Anderson back next week. Hopefully that will help immensely. I'll be in Mexico, and won't get to see the game, unfortunately.
We'll get smoked by any team that is good...unless we can get our issues fixed rather quickly. OL sucks, Brock isnt that good, and our defense isnt getting pressure without Watt.
Not to rain on your parade, but the texans scored 13 points on offense the entire day at home. Not a good look. That's with fuller, hopkins, miller and brock. where is the offense?
By who? Titans fans? Texans should've shown themselves superior. Instead they were lucky and the victors of a dogfight. Sick to freaking death of watching this team barely scrape by
3 and 0 at home...0-1 on the road. The truth is the Texans really have issues... a majority starts at the line on both sides of the ball. The offense is just NOT consistent. Today was a C- type of game by Brock...comes out firing and then took his foot of the gas. Those picks he thru were just bad bad passes. That being said... Ill take all the wins possible against division teams...
They scored 20 points. 2 tds and 2 fgs. Not sure where you're getting 13 points from. I'm concerned going forward but I still think we're going to win the division. We already have a 2 game lead. If we can go 7-1 in the division, then we should be somewhere around 10-6. With no Watt and a very inconsistent offense, that's not bad.
Really is amazing they're 3-1... with an O-line that has thus far come closest to being at the expansion-year level (of course not "that" bad... but certainly the worst its been for the last 10 years). Brown is going to help... but he won't fix everything. They'll have to shorten up the deep drops/play-action/looking for the deep ball plays if our tackles can't contain the edge with base rushing.
The key to today, was getting a win. They are 3-1. Today was a good learning experience for Brock. I think after film, today will show that he needs to stop forcing balls in to coverage. Getting Duane Brown back is going to help bring Brock some confidence. I think fixing the OL will fix many of the problems going forward.
Our tight ends have played great. Anderson had been dropping balls. If Osweiller would just start throwing ahead of his receivers when they outrun defenders instead of making them stop and turn to catch balls behind them, overthrowing them, and throwing out of bounds then we could be a force to be reckoned with. What good is speed if you don't use it to your advantage? Fuller and Boye were my heroes today. It's been years it seems since we had an exciting return. We are lucky to be 3-1 with more interceptions than touchdowns by our QB this year. A two game lead is what we need in our division right now until we iron out the kinks. Go Texans!
The patriots got shut out today... Not gonna be awesome all 16 games... Plus why does Mariota get a pass for ineffective play due to "inexperience" but Brock doesn't get that ... We are missing two players on the O line that should be starting. We need to learn to play LAJJ (life after JJ) ..the league is built for equity and it's tough to play much worse or much better than 8-8 for a vast majority of teams. As a fan I'll enjoy the win but yes I get the criticism but you have to acknowledge the good things as well
The epitome of mediocre. Everything about to organization reeks of mediocrity and a complacency with it.
Nice and sunny over here, just a little too warm. BTW, you missed a TD by the offense.... Agreed that this team certainly has a lot of work to do....
