Good. They did a public service. It's entirely reasonable for the public to demand that their presidential candidates release their returns. I'm sure you didn't mind the illegal hacking of Hillary's private server.

The NY Times editor said in September he would risk jail to publish the return.

"In December 2012, near the end of Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State, a nonprofit group called Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, or CREW, filed a FOIA request seeking records about her email. CREW received a response in May 2013: “no records responsive to your request were located.”[22] Emails sent to Clinton's private clintonemail.comaddress were first discovered in March 2013, when a hacker named "Guccifer" widely distributed emails sent to Clinton from Sidney Blumenthal, which Guccifer obtained by illegally accessing Blumenthal's email account.[23][24][25] The emails dealt with the 2012 Benghazi attack and other issues in Libya and revealed the existence of her clintonemail.comaddress.[23][24][25] Blumenthal did not have a security clearance when he received material from Clinton that has since been characterized as classified by the State Department."

Blumenthal's email account was on Clinton's server?

This underlines one of the basic ironies of this campaign that would be hilarious if not that the campaign could hinge on this. That a man who was born to wealth, flaunts his wealth, games the system to his advantage while bragging about it is considered the everyman and the one who best has the interest of the lower classes.

It's as if you cannot apply common sense and logic.

To access Hillary's emails, and illegal breach of security was performed. My point is I'm pretty confident Theresthedagger couldn't give two ***** hence the cognitive dissonance he expresses. I'm sure he would be irked if to obtain Trump's tax returns and hypothetically a file of the return was on one of his tax attorney's email server, he would be equally irked. You are being unnecessarily pedantic.

They certainly didn't mind the hack of the DNC emails, which is illegal, and if I recall Trump called it a public service. He also called for releasing hacked Clinton emails a public service that the media would want to publish.

Yup, so if a Trump supporter like THeresthedagger doesn't express cognitive dissonance, they should be perfectly fine with Trump's return being illegally presented to the public. It's a 2 way highway.

I don't think there has ever been any evidence that Clinton's server was hacked. You appear to be misinformed. By the way, this is a thread about Trump's mid-1990's tax return. What move did you use to transition to Clinton's server: the Simone-Biles-layout-step-out?

Anyway, on topic, not sure what this return shows us that we didn't already know or at least suspect about Trump. 1990's news is 1990's news.

Okay. So I need to break it down barney style for you unless you are being purposely obtuse to waste my time which then I would say 'touche' as I have 3 lab reports due.

The first existence of this email controversy happened with the ILLEGAL hacking of Sidney Blumenthal's email account. Hence, an ILLEGAL action was used to make public Hillary's private server.

Now, we have some butt hurt Trump supporters here such as yourself and Dagger who are miraculously butt hurt because an apparent illegal action was used to make Trump's returns public. Do you think the Dagger would care less if to access these returns illegally, that it was done through his tax attorney's server rather than directly from Trump? I'm exemplifying the cognitive dissonance that the Dagger expresses here when I'm sure he lauds who ever hacked Sidney Blumenthal's email account yet now feels compelled to feel irked that an illegal action was taken to expose Trump.

I find it hard to believe you couldn't use your own common sense to figure that out yourself. You just wasted my time didn't you? Touche sir, unless you really are an idiot..

Please, tell me more about how I think oh random internet guy I've never met. o_O

    Meanwhile...

Breaking the law matters to me no matter who does it. Doesn't change the fact that there would have been NO OPPORTUNITY TO BE HACKED if Clinton hadn't have set up the private server in the first place and put classified information on it.

The alleged non-Trump voters (heh) on this board are among the first to always deflect and deny the importance of information revealed about Trump.

Trump the every man blue collar billionaire hasn't paid taxes in 20 years? No big deal. Bahaha.

There would be no opportunity for Trump's 1995 tax return to be illegally leaked if he released them himself just like every normal candidate that proceeded him because that's what the public wants.

Breaking the law matters to you. So you believe the individual who hacked Sidney Blumenthal's emails server should be prosecuted and convicted even though 90% of your anti-Hillary message centers around the actions this individual hacker performed that started the ball rolling on the whole Hillary email hysteria. I seriously doubt that. Hence the cogitative dissonance.

Well, I can't help what you believe, but yes that is what I would like to see. If someone could do it to Hillary they could do it to me or someone I care about.

Doesn't change the facts on Hillary though. She's as corrupt as they come.

okay, so you want to prosecute and convict the individual who apparently 'informed you' about the most corrupt politician of all time(allegedly).

Not quite. We know for a fact that government servers have been hacked. There is no direct evidence so far that Clinton's private server has.

I won't quibble that her private server was more secure than government ones but just because it was private doesn't mean it was necessarily any more vulnerable than if she used a government one.

Anyway I still hope that you expressed as much dismay at hacked DNC emails, or Trump calling for the release of Clinton emails by Russian hackers as you do over the release of the Trump's tax returns.

For what it's worth I agree that whoever got these returns probably broke the law.

It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad. These people think Trump is the one that is going to fix the tax code. This is like hiring a bank robber as your bank security. These Trump supporters are real geniuses.
