He was on a good way to earn the 'mediocre NBA player' name tag until those nasty injuries.

That's absurd, there's no way I have 200 posts in this thread. How do you check that anyway?

In any case, I was responding to the myth that we did great with DMo at C when dwight was out. That was when he really struggled and in fact a lot of people uses that as an excuse for him, saying he was out of position.

    He's a terrible rebounder, that's just a fact

He said the X-Factor thread, which this one retired.

You can't check posters in a thread easily anymore. But adv search by thread title and posts by username will accomplish it the hard way.

I concur with JJWhat, but say it's more like 500 comments if blocking out posts count as much as rebounds :D

D-Mo being garbage on the boards is a fact, not a complaint or argument.

Haha well they should definitely bring that feature back. I remember certain posters would have 50% of posts in a thread

You just have to tune him out and realize that most of the time he's doing some kind of trolling. Once you accept that, his posts make more sense.

And won most of those games.

    Rebounds don't count as points.

That's true, plus he boxed out so other people could grab rebounds

I know you are being your passive aggressive self, and making fun, but a win is a win....I don't give a hoot if we lose the rebounding battle but win the game.

Not being passive aggressive. He boxes out but doesn't grab the rebound

And now with the back issue he might get even fewer rebounds

DMo should just sign the QO and get into camp. He's not going to get a better deal this season. He needs to get well and play well THIS SEASON to earn a big contract afterward. And right now, the only place he can prove himself is with the Rockets.

If I were him, I'd sign the contract, fire BJ, and concentrate on playing basketball.

You always disregard rebounds. As if having extra possessions does not help you.

When I think of DMo, I just think of him as a crippled gimp now. The guy used to be one of my favorite players, because of his potential. You can't make decisions based on past dreams.

As I mentioned a long while back - If DMo can't rebound, why not just go small instead? The reason you have a big man is to get rebounds. Why play any big man if he can't rebound better than a guard?

What are the odds this ends today ?

Can't the rockets just pull the qualifying offer and say hey Dmo , now 2 million is the most we are willing to give you ?

Isn't he a restricted free agent regardless ? the only thing Dmo can hope for by holding out is for another player ( either here , or on another team ) to get hurt .

No, they can't pull the offer, but it does expire at midnight Sunday. DMo's agent said that the deadline was today, after which they just accept the QO and be untradable for a year before becoming an unrestricted free agent.

So it expires but they can choose to extend it right ?

So basically they choose whether or not to " pull" the offer ?

If they let it expire he is still a restricted free agent right ? Can the rockets still negotiate a contract with him ? Can that contract be for less than the qualifying offer ?

Yeah, they could choose to extend it, but they can't do anything until Sunday night. DMo's people almost certainly won't choose to risk the offer expiring. Either Morey makes a long term deal that they find acceptable today, or they accept the QO tomorrow. There's really not a 3rd option.

That's good to hear , so hopefully that points to this ending exceptionally soon .

It doesn't expire midnight Sunday. Watkins is just wrong, like Woj was.

It expires after October 1st or after the first biz day if weekend rules apply, which looks like they do

@Bobbythegreat it's not a good habit to rely on the accuracy of Watkins wrt CBA. He got two things wrong in that article you are citing

That detail doesn't really matter very much, if it's Sunday or Monday the point is still the same. Also DMo's people said their deadline was today.
