His forms are more complicated than mine, but based on my Schedule C (business expenses), the 8829 (business use of your home), and the 1040 itself, you can learn a great deal about me. So, I'm certain that with Mr. Trump's much more detailed documents, you can learn a great deal. The one thing I will say in his favor is that it COULD be easy to misinterpret certain things. Certainly, on what he deducts, it might show that after he deducts his business expenses, he pays very little. Is that wrong? Not as long as you're following IRS rules. However, many Americans who don't understand the deduction laws would think it was wrong. On that, I actually agree with some of our right-leaning posters- if he released his taxes, he would need someone to immediately be ready to explain some of the things that may look bad but really aren't. But for the other stuff, like how much he makes? That's more of his ego talking- and probably the #1 reason he doesn't want to release them.
