Love the change. All of clutch fans have been calling for it. Good that it's finally official. Let's just hope they can somewhat compete on defense. The good news is whoever the other teams point guard is, is gonna get exposed on defense having to guard Gordon or harden... I'll take those odds we out score them.

Thx. Look forward to it. (btw: Are you providing live coverage throughout the week?)

I agree that until DMA announces a starting SG other than Harden, then this is semantics. The play-calling will change, but there will still be a PG on the court with him more than without. Harden now has other weapons to set up, so hopefully he starts some sets by passing first then does off-ball cutting. I don't view him as a prober like Nash. So, I expect more passing from entire team than the Suns look. But definitely the primary PnR player, if he wasn't already.

I'll be interested to see the times he and Gordon are the only guards on the court. And I'm sure there will be 3-guard lineups, too.

Then I'll patent the phrase "Pick 3"

The 20 seconds or more offense under PG James Harden has begun!

So the rockets no longer have the worst starting point guard in the west now!

Obviously we know when Gordon was signed that he was going to be playing with Harden in a no-point-guard lineup a fair bit.

For defensive purposes though, I'm concerned we're abandoning from the opening tipoff any pretense of wanting to defend the perimeter.

Who knows what the final rotation will be but I sure don't want to see Beverley's minutes cut back to "whenever Harden is off the floor". Perhaps we can play Harden at the 3 a bit as well and relieve Ariza's huge minutes burden from last year. One way or another, I'd rather see some positional fluidity that gets everyone their minutes than get locked into "Harden is playing only point guard now, no other point guards need apply."

Feigen thinks they could start Bev by Harden for defense:

Actually it makes sense that he's called the PG and Beverley the SG. Beverley can't run the team.

So what does this mean for Bev??? Is he going to be traded or is he coming off the bench?

So once again @basketballholic has been proven wrong and Haymitch has been proven right. In other words, just another day on CF.

What I hope this does is we stop trying to force a Pg besides Harden if there is a better fit at Sg....like if Mcdaniels takes the next step.

I don't think this means EGO is starting as SG along with Harden. It's not all that different than what we had with Harden and Bev. As long as Bev can hit that 3 at a 36% or better clip and D-up, then he should start with Harden. EGO and Harden on the court will work but only for short spurts. Gordon off the bench is the way it should always have been to begin with. It's a better use of his skill set while preventing a complete vacuum on the defensive end.

Looks like Morey is throwing shade at Watkins for his clickbait article headline vs Feigen's approach.

If you watch the ZaBrewer film, you'll clearly see there is a second shooter. Watch the ball. It consistently goes back, and to the left. Back, and to the left. Back, and to the left. There was no point guard. There is a second shooter.

Interview should be ignored outside of 2:30-3 minute mark, where they basically summarize that nothing will be different this is just something to write about.

The only exciting thing about this video was watching Nene hitting 90% of his shots in the background.
