    it's amazing how much this team can consistently embarrass itself every time it has a chance pro itself.

    Does anyone know the Texans record in prime time games? I think I remember an article last year that said we were 6-16.

    Looked to me like the offensive coaches outsmarted themselves. They thought they would have to go completely away from what was working in the first 2 weeks because they couldn't possibly show Belichick anything he'd seen in those games. Instead, we get runs up the middle on 3rd and 5? WTF? Little passing down the field. The Pats knew the route tree and were there waiting on every throw. That was clear from early on and no adjustments were made. That's what was disappointing to me. It was Kubiak-esque.

    With the extra time off, I'd expect them to fix some things and be just fine. We're still 2-1, in a weak division, and have some of the best players in the league. We'll be fine.

    It's not that hard to understand why. They typically do it against GOATs QBs, which we've never had, and SB wining teams which we've also never had. Kinda makes sense that it will keep happening until we do get SB level team and a GOAT QB.

    The safeties were playing deep to take away the deep passing game of the Texans. The problem right now is the run blocking game is just not there. I actually surprised Miller ran as well as he did.

    They should have gone underneath earlier and as soon as the safeties started cheating closer to the box take your chances downfield.

    Watched the post game press conference and while I can admire how Osweiler stood up there and took the "blame" for his crappy play, he isn't being paid millions to apologize for looking like a 7th round draft choice - he was given the job because he's suppose to make plays and put points on the board. Last night, he was outplayed and shown up by a 3rd string QB. I don't want to see excuses from him - I want to get through a game without him throwing stupid INTs. That's the least that can be expected for a guy getting paid the amount of money he's getting. Of course it would help him tremendously if the OL decided to block for him every now and then.

    And while nearly everyone (including the talking dolts on 790 this morning) is reaching up their collective behinds for rationalizations and excuses to dismiss this loss as some sort of aberaration, it's high time to stop letting this team, coaching staff and players off the hook. That stuff last night - the putrid play calling, dumbass special teams play, high school coaching mistakes - this is the kind of stuff that keeps them an afterthought in this state when compared to that other team up in Dallas. Simply put they were completely exposed as the pretenders that they really are by Belichick last night. And once again, this was done on national TV (7-18 in prime time games folks). Losing to the Pats is understandable given their track record at Gillette Stadium but to get COMPLETELY punked by a 3rd string QB running what was basically a college offense - a QB who only had 3 days to prepare for his first NFL game is worse than pathetic.

    This was a dumpster fire from start to finish and the blame goes to the coaching staff because their so-called game plan was an absolute joke. BoB played right into Belichick's hands when he tried to show he had on big boy pants by trying to run the ball into the strength of the Pats defense from the git-go. That made the Texans offense predictable and stagnant and the results were there for all to see - zero points in the 1st half, did not cross midfield until late in the 3rd Quarter and a defense that was (once again) on the field far too long because your "offense" was busy doing the Tango (1-2-3 kick). I had to LOL when BoB had the gall to get all huffy when a reporter brought up their record in prime time games especially after putting on one of the worse displays of in-game coaching since the days of the Oilers. They deserve all of the ridicule the Internet is heaping on them today and I can't wait to hear all of the laughter and jokes from the radio talking heads up here in Dallas. It's been a good two weeks up here for these clowns as they laugh at Houston sports teams.

    They won't be a failure but they certainly look one and done in the playoffs again.

    I will say it, since nobody else will. 3 games in, Brock is not the dude long term. He should be able to manage a games going forward, but the Texans front office needs to keep looking for a QB. Don't settle on Brock and Savage who I think will get some time this year.

    Woke up madder than when I went to bed. I hope the Texans had practice this morning. I hope they are running laps all day long. Led by sad-sack pu$$y O'Brien and fat-a$$ Crennell. And Izzo better still be in New England, working on his resume and applying at Walmarts as a greeter.

    Wilfork and Hopkins get to take the day off. Everyone else, including JJ "where's the best camera angle" Watt and Jadeveon "two tackles, one which was solo, no sacks" Clowney, better be running until they puke. Then run some more.

    I hope McNair has Gruden, Cowher, and Dungy on speed dial.

    Only player that seemed to show up was Bernadrick McKinney. We played like pure crap. ..my coworker came over to watch the game and after the disgust on both our faces i encouraged him to get home after the end of the third quarter . This was torture and a embarrassment. I want my Texans back from the first two games.... Wtf did they go lol

    Not to exonerate the coaching because the offensive gameplan was putrid, but the defense really didn't play that poorly save for the Brisset rush TD. You can only ask so much of a defense on short fields and when the offense is on the field for 3-6 plays and punting every time. And I have a hard time blaming Izzo for James and Ervin coughing up the rock.

    It's not just the our record in primetime games, it's our point-diff too. We're not even competitive most of the time.

    The city has plenty to prove and doesn't deserve any respect. Houston also plagued with bad luck.

    In 1995, my dad said Houston sports wasn't about anything and never will. He called the Rockets titles a fluke. I was like. "nah, we're gonna turn it around".... Still waiting.

    "Didn't play that poorly, save for..." shouldn't be the best thing to say about a defense. They were going up against an offense playing a third-string QB and minus its best offensive weapons (Brady, Gronk). Sure, the offense was way worst, and that put unfair pressure on the defense. But on good teams, if the offense is struggling, the defense steps up. We supposedly had one of the best defenses in the league, yet they didn't make the big play, force a takeaway. Do something to change the tone of the game.

    And if last night was the first time the special team looked bad... but can you point to any game this season that the special teams didn't look awful? In important games, especially where you struggling, you look to special teams to make a big play. Instead... they make blunders like they did last night. That can't happen.

    Well that was disappointing. Not ready for prime time.

    I sure hope that we can view this game as the "wake up" call later in the season.

    3 (or 4) more prime time games

    Colts SNF
    @Broncos MNF
    @Raiders(MEX) MNF
    (Bengals - Sat. night Christmas Eve)

    Thankfully, the Packers game is not in prime time.
