Wait, the Patriots are 76-0 at Gillette stadium when leading at halftime? And NO ONE finds that odd? That seems statistically impossible.
1st point - exactly, that's where BOB gameplan is bad - he needs to attack the middle of the field! 2nd point - of course not, but thats what the Pats want. Tight windows/tough throws which is basically what Nuk has been forced to do so far!
They're going to win this game with their defense. Belichick has cut down far better offenses in their primes... The Montana 49ers, the Kelly Bills, the Warner Rams, the Wilson Seahawks. Do you really think he's afraid of the Osweiler Texans?
This is a good humbling experience to remind everyone of what real good football looks like and just how far away the Texans really are from that. Give hoodie a middle school squad and he'd beat BOB's dream team.
It's bizarre to me that the Texans have all these former Patriots guys and they are so unprepared for the stuff NE is throwing at them.
It's always like this with a rookie QB . Of course we want to pass rush , but Bellicheck knows that . So we expect them to run it a high percentage of the time because that is their strength. They also have 2 big tight ends that can both block and catch . The main problem is that even on 3rd down or on passing downs we have to worry about them sneaking a short pass or a run because they have a rookie QB and we expect them to want to limit pressure on him as much as we want to get pressure on him . It's a bit of game theory , but so far we are losin.
What kind of logic is that? You don't know if you'll use your timeouts or not, yet you don't see teams using them to gain 5 seconds "that they know they're sure to win" either.
