Wow, it is incredibly telling that bigtexxx has not yet admitted that he was wrong about this shooting.

Yeah, I'm 99.99% positive that she wasn't telling him to go walk over to the driver's side of the SUV and reach inside, all while she is pointing a gun at him. If she did, that would make this straight cold-blooded murder.

In situations like that, suspects are generally being ordered to not move or to get on the ground.

Nope the police chief said himself the man had no gun on him or in his car. It's obvious the officers on the scene aren't giving the whole story. They've been contradicting themselves the whole time.

People are still bringing up the lie told by police that he was reaching into the vehicle? There was zero reaching. What will it take you guys to understand that everything a police spokesperson or police attorney says is not going to be true?

Watch the video. Taser and gunshot at :17 on left frame of this video.

I'm with you in general, but did she or the other police say anything that might have led him to go there? Maybe something as simple as 'Do you have any ID on you?' I think getting an accounting of what transpired before he started walking over there will be very important. I've also heard that the lady was really trying to help him out, prior to what's on the tape.

I suspect the story here has a lot of grey in it, or turns out to be either different, or have a lot more to it, than initial perceptions.

I still want to know why there were 5 cops there plus a helicopter if the guy was just a stranded motorist. I guess if it has gone into a criminal investigation, they'll be tight lipped about everything. Still seems weird to me though.

Have to say that I agree with you. I had also heard somewhere that the police had asked him to go to the vehicle and put his hands on it, which is what he seemed to be doing.

It must be really easy being an officer when the solution to any citizen giving you issues is shoot em. Keep it short and simple. Figures for a proffession that demands so little intelligence and common sense from the public.

hmmm. You sound like a jerk off.

Anyways, ignoring that you are grouping all officers together. This lady fudged up. She should serve some jail time, but at the end of the day he didn't listen and it was part his fault for it going that far.

    Rough situation here.

No.. I'm deriving a conclusion from a narrative that cops are binary idiots whos only avenue of problem solving is shooting a b**** when they don't comply. But I don't believe that narrative holds true. Bobby think so, hence, logically he must think all cops are dolts.

I still want to know why he was stranded in the middle of the road into on-coming traffic.

Ah yes, I'd forgotten how that is up there with capital murder as a punishable-by-death offense.

Do you want me to list all the potential automotive issues that might leave a car stranded?

Please refer to my previous statements on this matter before you begin projecting, without a reference point, what you believe my opinions on this matter to be.

Please do. I've certainly seen stranded motorists before - on the side of the road.

I am merely attempting to discover the facts of the matter. Please try to control your emotional state while I "ponder". Furthermore, why did there just happen to be a helicopter in the area? Was this a police helicopter?

BTW, this is "kind of" how the legal system works: facts are gathered, examined, and presented.

Totally agree. I know that being a cop is a tough, underappreciated and an underpaid job but too many times cops protect other cops because they are a cop. They need to get rid of these bad apples a lot faster than they are.

The window looks closed, doesn't look like he's reaching into his car at all. He would have to reach for the door handle and he's clearly not doing that.

I must be the dolt for not reading that conclusively!

Well biasedly, my dad was a cop years ago(was for 25 years) and yesterday he was talking about how both parties screwed the pooch yesterday.

Thinks the female cop will end up serving some time.

Likely because the guy wasn't following the police's commands...
