This show is amazing. I wasn't a Donald Glover fan before (thought Community was too corny). But damn, Donald Glover uncensored is amazing.
Why is no one talking about this show? Its so great. Zan is my dude, spitting the truthiness and recording every second of it.
I really like this show -- though last night episode fell a little flat for me. I love Donald Glover (thought he was great in Community), but he hasn't been very funny for me in this show -- Darius steals the show. I think I laugh in every scene he's in.
Oh hell no. I wish more shows would just be a 30 minutes. TV is entirely too long now. They fluff up the episodes with nonsense just to get it to an hour.
It's good, but I don't quite understand Donald Glover's character's predicament. Seems like he comes from a good family. Is very intelligent. Is well spoken. Doesn't do any hard drugs. How is he so poor and homeless? I don't get it. I just don't have a good read on his character at all yet. In fact, I find myself more interested in the other two characters...especially Darius.
Hes going to be the pivotal key to making 'paperboy' a success and growing the brand. He'll make the connects with higher ups and put events together to make them big. The show still hasnt revealed why he left or got kicked out of Harvard or Princeton or whatever it was but he did attend, so we know hes ivy league smart. Plus, you see his savvy in the first episode in his dealings with people and people who put him beneath them. Its going to be really interesting in the upcoming shows to see where the direction goes but I see Dareus as the grounded one that holds it all together later on with his wisdom and off-the-wall thinking.
Just caught up on all the episodes... So far I'm lilng it but I wish it made more sense or had more of a direction. Either I'm missing something or what but I don't really see any major plots.
