240 golf not a rile but... a bit larger weapon with a larger caliber round(7.62). Shoulder fired that b**** on patrol before. My 5' 9" frame said "not for me". Leave it to the 6' 4" machine gunner. But in terms of weapons I used daily... This would have been the largest calibar weapon I used daily on patrol: In terms of weapons I fired on my own time? My buddy who lives in Maine(about 2 hours from me) owns an AK and a Mosin Nagant and has a massive backyard. Probably shot a total of 1000+ rounds between the two in the past few years. Of course I wasn't a bum. I payed for at least half that ammunition:grin:
Out of all of the guns you listed the Mosin Nagant has the most single shot recoil energy and velocity and even the M44 carbine I had before my tragic boating accident doesn't have much recoil. Certainly not in magnum territory. The low recoil of the 5.56 is a great design feature. Delivers similar energy at 200 yards as the 7.62x39 but with far less recoil. Thank Stoner for that don't call someone a p***y for shooting it while pandering.
I never said the inherent low recoil of the m4 is a bad thing. All I'm saying is that bragging about shooting an m4 is like bragging about passing college algebra to a math/engineering major. My mother never shot a firearm in her entire life. I'm confident she would be fine shooting an m4 as her first weapon to ever fire.
I'm sure she would. Which is why everyone laughed at the guy who claimed he had PTSD from shooting an AR. He isn't bragging, he is pandering.
Yeah. I don't think your criticism is very relevant or even valid tho. Get some range time with belted magnums and develop a nice flinch first. Pandering like this doesn't really work with the gun lobby. It is pretty easy to see.
K... I really don't know where you are getting at here? Anyways, I'm sure shoulder firing a 240 with 90+ lbs of gear on you while receiving contact after hiking up 4000 ft in 105 degree weather is more difficult than firing a belted magnum on a range.
Your criticism was about recoil being an accomplishment, the AR not having much. Now you have shifted for some reason. I didn't think your original point was very relevant or even valid. I could think of many things that are more difficult than firing a high recoil rifle and are more of an accomplishment. That has kinda been what I was saying the entire time.
My first gun was a breach loading 12 gauge single-shot Harrington and Richardson. Killed many ducks and left many bruises. My favorite was an Ishapor Enfield .308 bolt action rifle that was probably worse in terms of recoil but a very accurate hog killer. It was given to me as a trade-in for a busted Chinese Kalashnikov. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/QPzL-3LNv_k" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

http://www.cnn.com/2016/09/20/politics/donald-trump-african-americans-election-2016/ So apparently while black communities were having members routinely snatched and hung for no other reason than being black, it was better for those communities than now? While black communities consisted of living under slavery in the United states, it was better than now? Even though black incomes have risen under Obama like others incomes have, black communities are worse off. So Trump is so out of touch with black communities that he makes this claim? It's a pretty sad state for the Republican party when this is their candidate.
176 reasons Donald Trump should not be president...sorry if it's already been posted. No, I'm not... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/bQueaSlvjCw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://www.gq.com/story/176-reasons-donald-trump-shouldnt-be-president-olbermann
That's totally what Trump meant, way to take it so literal. He's talking about black communities like Chicago and Baltimore with poverty and gang violence.
Yep. The Trump haters will seize on absolutely anything they think they can, no matter how inaccurate or tenuous. Remember how Trump said he wanted to "hit" the DNC speakers? Some of the news media actually tried to paint a narrative that Trump was wishing to inflict bodily harm on them. They obviously didn't listen to the entire speech, or maybe they were hoping to leave out the fact that Trump elaborated a few seconds later, saying that he "hit" his Republican opponents a bit too hard and thats why more of them weren't endorsing him. Obviously, Trump used the word "hit" as an equivalent for "respond", "attack", or "insult", but more than one news outlet actually published stories claiming Trump said he wanted to physically attack those speakers. Those stories died out pretty quick since it was apparent to those who actually watched the speech what he was saying. But it just goes to show you how Trump bashers, and the media in general, will grasp at straws. It's shameful. The lengths at which they're trying to smear him will make it all the more enjoyable watching them squirm when he wins.
but thank god that the people have woken up (at least the majority) and are starting to think for themselves instead of following the line like a sheep.
